Our MC started from the bottom and rose all the way up to the top in the course of a single season with 12 episodes. If the series would end right here and now, I would be totally ok and satisfied with it. Which is why I'm wondering if that's a good thing. The series basically concluded itself. MC's goal now is world domination but it'll just be the same pattern of what he's done before, kinda like Bleach's Soul Society and Hueco Mundo arcs. There's no suspense to his previous world because he clearly cemented the fact the he has no plans on going back at all or the current one now that the future is secured from destruction. Several characters that are more than mob characters are also given little to no importance that I couldn't be bothered wondering how would their relationship with the MC develop going forward. Romance that would otherwise have a lot of speculations and long-term development is also out of the picture. Props to the series for being an isekai without any harem by the way.

Honestly I'm glad it has an 'ending'
I am so tired of shows and manga going on forever. Its getting harder to start new shows knowing full well there's an 80% chance I will never get any kind of closure on the characters. My mind has this growing pile of characters and plots that just sort of drift off into obscurity.
They either stop before any kind of conclusion is reached, or go on and on making you less and less interested in the story at all.

I personally thing the same as you said... A anime that actually concludes the story instead of just ending it .. I loved it.. if it doesn't get a season 2 I won't mind at all but if it gets one ... I would watch it with no hesitation

What I meant by if it's a good thing long-term was not about the story going forward but keeping the interest of the viewers/readers. If it's a 12-episode anime or 30-chapter manga then perfect. But if it gets another season or goes further in the manga then it kinda shot itself in the foot with this kind of conclusion because anything past this point that would lead to the MC's current goal will be similar to his previous endeavors. Which is to introduce new characters, manipulate, exploit, and expand. Rinse and repeat.

I get what your saying, but I think most people who wont bother reading the manga (me included) prefer it that way. The only manga ive ever read after watching the anime was Houseki No Kuni because there is 0.1% chance its getting adapted again, and I really love it. But for "alright" stuff that dosent extremely interest me, id like to see it conclude, at least the "arc".

Dont get me wrong, I liked it a lot, but not enough to pursue reading lol.

So if you’re on this thread and haven’t watched the finale don’t read the rest of this.

In the manga, the final party gets crashed by a mysterious figure who labels Shinzo as a target for elimination and the entire gang gets thrown in a mysterious void that teleports them somewhere ALONE, and kinji lost his memories. (Ch 29)
So, I gotta say they handled this ending perfectly; we got a solid conclusion to the arcs and plot points raised during this season AND they can easily do a s2 when more chapters are out, that can simply start with Shinji coming back to a meeting and the scene mentioned happening leading us into the season.
