| Despite the many failings of this season, there is one thing I loved about it, which is the opening. It's such a banger, and is paired with extremely intriguing visuals. It just works so well, and is definitely one of my favorite openings of all time. Part of me thinks half the reason I even finished watching the season was to experience that minute and a half every week lol. *edit* Since everyone mentioned it, I agree the ending is also superb, for whatever reason I just didn't bring that up as well haha. |

Specifically the part where Norman is watching everything burning and he notices the scared demon child; all of the sudden he instead visualizes his child self there crying amongst the fire (it's been a while since I've watched it, I think that's how it goes). The cinematography for that scene is excellent, and was a good way to snap him out of his bloodlust imo, plus it was a great depiction of trauma. Idk, despite anything else, I think that scene in particular was well imagined and directed and the imagery remained quite vivid for me. |

| SO TRUEEEE and the characters gradually being added to the op as they're shown was nice too, each ep i keep guessing who's gonna show up and stuff ed is also GORGEOUS even though theres no animation for it, watching it was soooooo.. nice. so so nice. even if the episode ended on norman committing genocide |
| Cloverworks is an extremely talented studio. I especially hate how they just waste their Animators like that. Horimiya as well as Wonder egg priority had AMAZING production value but they just turned out to be meh at the end. The production committee aren't giving this studio justice enough when they even have the potential to surpass Mappa. |

It's so evident that they've got some terrific and passionate animators, but a lot of that feels wasted with certain directorial/management decisions. I definitely want Cloverworks to thrive and create amazing shows, especially because their art style is really fresh. It's just a shame that so many of their recent projects have ended up going down hill. |

| I miss the opening, the ending and the soundtrack in general. Those aspects are pretty damn good here. I don't miss everything else about this season one bit. |
