| I haven't read the source material, but based on the names of the chapters, Episode 7 covered up to mid/late Vol 4 of the manga. 17 volumes are currently available in Japan. It also looks like the upcoming King Hunt arc is pretty long.... possibly going up through Vol 7. I have a feeling it's a question mark because they might not have even determined how far they are going to adapt yet. The budget is obviously pretty damn low for this, and any money made will pretty much all be on streaming rights and viewership. If it ends after this King Hunt arc and there is no continuation announcement following the final episode, that will probably be the end. It will just be another advertisement/introduction anime so people buy the source material. If it goes beyond episode 15ish (it will most likely take 12 - 15 episodes to complete this arc) then it will most likely be a minimum of 2 cours. Since the source material is coming out pretty fast (4 volumes a year) and does well enough, they could even make it one of those longer running shounen series. The only real question would be if they take a break between cours or not. Hopefully this gives everyone an idea of the possibilities. TL;DR VERSION: Ending after this King Hunt arc: 1 cour Continuing past King Hunt arc but no intention to adapt full story: 2 cours with or without a break Adapting on pace with source material for long shounen format: More than 2 cours or seasons but with breaks between them |
