Do they keep the skills after job change?

I don't think it has been mentioned in the anime, but do heroes retain skills from their previous jobs after changing them? If they do, does it mean they keep piling skills up?

It was mentioned very briefly around the snowy episode when the mc equipped all of his clothing gear that they do not keep their skills but do keep the clothing

Yes, which is why MC can cook really well despite him changing jobs from chef, a while ago

From what I understood they keep the weapons and clothing but the skills that come with the job go away after they get a new job I assume that he’s still good at cooking because he just remembers what he did.

Yes, they keep the skills, but the skills only become active as they manually switch between each Job (and thus the clothing and weapons that come with whatever job is currently "active").

You can see Yuusuke's training on the 2nd season's ep 2 - he is on purposely farming, cooking, and used creature magic to speed up microbes creating fertiliser. All that usage gains experience points, and he gains another job class.
