I just finished first season and it was amazing!!
And i was about to start season two but came here to update my list and saw that second season has very low score, so now i am thinking if i should watch it or not.
I don't want to waste my time and also the great ending i just watched.

It is horrible. Trust me. You dont want to watch it as the manga was basically ignored. Also the second season is the "end" for the anime. They basically ended it to a point where there wont be another season. :/

So it honestly depends on if you're an anime only fan because if you are then it takes a completely logical path in the story. But as someone who has read the manga I can tell you a crap ton of the plot was skipped over.

It has a finale. That't the good part. Most of the season feels rushed, some plot points make no sense and the characters lack development. You can watch it for the ending, but you can skip it and just pretend they made it into their world.

Simply put, no. It cuts a lot of good manga content, rushes through to the end while committing character assassination. Then speed runs a third season with a 3 min power point presentation

If you don’t want to waste your time then I suggest not watching it, I’d usually say to not let other people’s ratings stop you from watching certain animes but I really can’t imagine anyone thinking this is even close to as good as the first season

Oh yeah i also did not read the manga, so I guess i'll watch the anime since i don't know the proper ending.

To get the real ending u need to read the manga. I know for anime only its possible to miss the cracks but the ending is so bad that i genuinely think it ruins it EVEN for anime only. U can tell its not as good as the first season too. If u do watch u will feel like it starts okay but u will simply be let down by it. IF u dont want to be disappointed dont watch it but if you wanna know how bad it is then go ahead and maybe then read the manga.

I seriously don't know why people hate the second season, like personally I think it's slightly better than any "typical" Anime. I would recommend you watch the first two episodes and then use your own will to decide whether to watch it or not.

As someone who doesn't read the manga, this as a standalone show sucks ass, it feels rushed, theres way too much exposition and the ending is absolute shit, although the manga ending is too.
If you really want to watch it go ahead, but I think second season does a disservice to the first

I personally wouldn’t if you don’t want to ruin your experience from first season. The whole plot of this butchered adaptation could be summed up in three sentences surrounded by random cute kids scenes, convenience and powerpoint presentation.

not really, not only because it has nothing to do with the manga but also because the ending is completely rushed. i would suggest you to read the manga instead, it's not perfect (i think the finale is rushed there as well) but at least you see lots of character you dont get to know in the anime :D

i don't think it was as bad as some people say, (i read most of the manga, i'm just waiting until i can read the physical copy of volume 20) but the manga is really well thought out and introduces new fan favorite characters you won't see in the anime, so if you want more content, you should read the manga. the second season hits very few major points from the manga, like the end of the season is kind of similar to a spot near the end of the manga, but a lot of arcs are cut.

no, don’t waste your time!! it’s an unfaithful adaptation, so i wouldn’t bother unless you’re interested in the characters, even then i feel like it ruins some of them. so i’d recommend reading the manga instead :)

No it's not, I love promised never land, it's in my top 10 and the second season was a waste of time, if you really wanna watch it you can, by episode 3 tho it goes down hill, I'm gonna start the manga soon but basically they rushed and cut a lot of the story along with changing things, the first season was 5 manga volumes, in the second season they tried squeezing in about 15 volumes, here's a link below to a video that perfectly explains it but yeah if you want to then go ahead, but it's a disappointment and it breaks my heart too because I loved season 1- I would highly encourage reading the manga, even tho I haven't I already have spoilers and it's so good from what little I've seen

It’s very very bad. You should read the manga instead, though the ending if the manga is bad, but better than the anime’s. In season two everything that was good in the manga was taken away and the things that were bad, somehow they did them worse. I gave season 1 a 7, season 2 a 2 and the manga a 5.

I think you should read the manga instead and if you can't or don't want to read manga, then go for it. It's not as good as S1, but at least it answers everything left during the first season. The most essential is there. Season 2 is still worth watching.

I also think people are overeacting on this season. It's not that awful, but I agree it's unnecessarily rushed.

Man is really asking is this worth watching when the average score is around 5. Anyway, I advice you to start reading the Manga and skip the second season entirely. Start reading from Chapter 37-38 or read the entirety of the Manga from the beginning but mind that the Manga starts going downhill after Goldy Pond arc.

is it worth it? not really but the ending was heartwarming so i think you should just watch it and stick around for that. season 1 was was more intense and you don’t really get that much during season 2. i found it hard to finish at one point because of how easy-going, less intense and happy everything was. there wasn’t much of a shock factor like season 1 but just watch it and get it over with but don’t set your expectations high!
