it doesn't look like there are any spoilers, but just want to confirm if it's safe for me to read this?

I wouldn't say it's too spoilerific as it does not pull directly from the main plot of Haikyuu. Just the characters themselves.

However, there may be certain teams or characters that have been yet to be introduced in the anime in more recent chapters. If I recalled correctly, they may pull some references from the anime or the manga. Those can be a tad bit spoilerific though.

Current fandom: Mainly Haikyuu these days. Also into Mob Psycho 100, Fullmetal Alchemist, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (8 parts and counting), etc.

Am I too late!?
I made the same mistake of reading this before catching up with Haikyuu manga and spoiled some things for myself like the identity of the little giant and there are also some references of future events that have yet to make an appearance in the anime DX

Since I've caught up, and just in case anyone else is wondering, I'd like to add to this despite it being an old thread.

The earlier chapters are pretty safe for anime-only watchers, but some of the later chapters go into events that are only in the Manga so far. Nothing too big, though.

If you have not finished the anime, though, you should do that before reading this, because they discuss who won/lost in some matches regularly.

I remember starting it before catching up to the manga, and before the last season was released so I got spoiled on some stuff, but even without spoilers one thing is for sure , you’ll enjoy it better once you completed the manga because some characters will be unknown to you so you may not get the jokes..
