Im at ep 5 and this has been an easy 9+/10 so far, wtf is the rating of this show?

Its becuase the main cast is all boy's expect the main character of course. But I've seen people say that the cast is boring cliches which I personally think is not that true.

Numerous possible reasons, including the following:
People want to sexualize high school girls, not middle school boys
It will inevitably get compared to Bakemonogatari because it's a Shaft animation of a Nisioisin light novel
Mystery shows are already kinda niche
Too colorful/shiny/sparkly maybe?

I personally think it's an 8 or a 9, but a 7 makes sense for the general rating because it's only going to garner a niche audience. For example, I think Bakemonogatari is a 10/10 perfect show, but it doesn't appeal to everyone, so an 8 makes sense.

Actually I don't understand it either, the script is incredible, next to Oddtaxi both shows have an exceptional script, Bishounen Tandeidan's script makes you use your head and imagination, the colors, Akiyuki Shinbou's direction, the aesthetics, the animation, the dialogues, everything makes this a work that deserves a rating of at least an 8 or 9, so that here it has a rating of 7 dropping to 6, nah.
This just makes me think that the audience is very imbecilic and doesn't appreciate when there is something different in front of them.

Because it’s not isekai or some dark skinned elf trash. And the main audience of any popular anime is your average 12 yo fortnite player. That’s not something to be sour about but just managing your expectations for ratings.

At the start...I thought it is going to be another otome where girl gets pampered..but its not like that..monogatari vibes..great animation and sounds...compelling storytelling...Very likable FMC with real personality...Amazing mysteries..very different characters..also the club is such a good sport that i kinda wanna join..its a great anime
