This seasons is full fo plot holes and problems people refuse to accept so, just like ThatAnimeSnob i will refresh your mind.
Let's start with the problems no one talks about:
1. The pacing. Yes, shounen don't have good pacing, but can't be helped this seasons is badly paced by a few factors. It was originaly suppose to be more story driven, but because of bad production it got more slice of life episodes and too much filler.
2. The Villains are boring. Let's me just that Zexal ll has really bad villains who don't have personality (minus Vector) because each one is just a copy and paste of the Dark Signers
3. Yuma is less developted here than previous season 1. No amount of praise for this developtment here is more acceptale than just him being so god annoying in the first place it was the fault of Yoshida who let thw staff not have control and over write the character focuse episodes for Yuma with filler and slice of nothing.
4. Rehasing old ideas again. Look, we know Yoshida was it his worse. He reusing the plot from DM, the main character being bad at duelling from GX and the whole 3 and 7 villian cour arc with the same plot there aswell.
5. It wasn't well received in JP, nor was any seasons after it. Because this one keep becoming too broken to the point it made me want to stop watching it since it got out of character and all that hype for nothing.
6. It has fanservice. Welp, despite Yoshida was aways using this troupe he underdevelopted the characters mainly the girls.
7. Too much XYZ and RUM. Nuff said.
8. Crappy CGI. Look, i know people like the animation here, but i might be more critical. While at times its good, other times its bad. But here it's soo all over the place. Mainly the XYZ monster just look like shit.
9. False hype. This show was hyping about being the best season of YGO, but in the end it was all for nothing since Yoshida once again just like In GX he got too lazy and did it as a sub-version instead of actual real one.
10. Badly writen characters: Look am gonna be real. Each one is bad because i can't stand this cast, only Shark and Kaito are decent, but both end up as shit at the end of the show. Kaito's duel on the moon wasn't that good because it was really bad from the moment i first saw it back in 2014. He berally used anything good and was put in tough corner where he just asspulled one card to make it less interesthing in the first place.
If you can't tell i an not a huge fan of this seasons, but it's okay to like it. Just don't say it's a masterpiece its like Yubel's arc all over.
