I haven't watched a single episode or even a scene from this show yet, but as far as I can tell from the manga and the discussion of the episodes, this show is as pure as Yuru Camp. Is my impression correct? I am very picky about CGDCT as I don't like all-female shows with too much moe and fanservice (especially if it's very sexualized and yuri-ish in a baiting way). At least until I want to purposefully watch one.

So to be honest, I'm a little afraid to start this show and initially wanted to ask how pure this show is.

UPD. By "pure" I do not mean that girls should be as innocent as possible or idealized, I just hope that there is little fanservice.

Just watch 1st episode you'll feel that wholesome and relaxed vibe. If not, you can always drop. But imo, this is just what you need at the end of a Wednesday.

3 episodes in and I’d say the show is as pure as Yuru Camp. No fan service and it’s not yuri-Ish. Definitely worth a watch if you like CGDCT and if you enjoyed Yuru Camp. It really is a wholesome show.

What do you mean by pure?

There is no sexualization in Super Cub.

A show devoid of excessive fanservice and fetishes. I don't care if the girls are ridiculously innocent maiden or idealized Yamato Nadeshiko, such pureness does not interest me. But shows where moe-ish girls get pantsu shots all the time or melodramatic holding hands just isn't my cup of tea.

I'm not saying that these shows are bad or that their audience is bad, it's just not for me.

Thanks for the answer! I'm currently preparing the mood for the sequels Yuru Camp and Non Non Byori, so I'm looking for good SoLs of that type.

This series is just a pure joy and relaxation to your soul, if you are two wheels fan. It's just awesome how wholesome it is, hope it will keep like this thought the season (I only anime watcher, so no idea what comes next)

this show is the opposite of fan service. There is Barry any dialogue. Most episodes are filed with sound effects and music. Only the friend, Reiko, really says anything.

Depends on what you mean by fanservice. The MC's smile gives me more fanservice than 10 episodes of titties

That's a rather complicated topic lol. Some men (and perhaps women) have tights/pantyhose fetishes and the girls in Yuru Camp always wear this. Others may be turned on by cute girly/loli voices and the characters in Yuru Camp are high pitched.

But overall there is no 'deliberate' fanservice in Super Cub if that is what you're asking. The skirts for the uniforms go below the knee and the girls do not act 'girly' in any sense. You wouldn't (or shouldn't) notice any gender specific expressions while watching the show (up to this point); it's just about someone who found some color in their life after purchasing a cub. It's about as ordinary as it can get.

Yes, it is quite pure from your description.

Similar to Yuru Camp, a bit more melancholic though.

Yes, you're right, in theory a whole bunch of things could be fetishes or fanservice if people have a very soft spot for it. But if this is not intrusive and neatly enough built into the setting (I mean, if it does not cause the first association that it was added for those who like to fap on it), then why not? For example, hardly anyone will complain about the abundance of swimwear in the beach SoL.

Girls's designs are simple and plain.
Main girl is shy and timid.
So far there is no sign of Yuri and I don't think there'll be. There is no sexualisation of any kind so far.
Show focuses more on wholesomeness and even character development, than moe. It even has some dark elements.

In short, it's a show with all female (main) cast about a girl, who is just existing, rather than actually living. She discovers a passion, gains confidence and friends.
I think you'll love it.

This show is CGDCT but the overall setting of the show is very relaxing. The dialogues are minimum and simplicity is prominent. I like the whole appeal of the show in general.

Judging from the first three episodes I don't think you have anything to worry about and if you like Yuru Camp then I think you'll like this one too.
