I’ve noticed a lot of people who are trying to get into the manga but don’t know which chapters weren’t adapted in the anime. Since I couldn’t find an updated post with all the chapters adapted for both season 1 and season 2, I decided to post one. I would highly recommend picking up this manga if you’re interested as it quickly became one of my favourites and, while the adaptation is amazing in its own right, i’d say the manga is better in my opinion.

Anyway, here is a list of all adapted chapters in Kaguya-sama Love is War S1 and S2.

Love Is War Adapted Chapters

Kaguya-sama S1:

Episode 1 > Chapters 1, 12, 5.

Episode 2 > Chapters 11, 7, 6.

Episode 3 > Chapters 14, 8, 9.

Episode 4 > Chapters 17, 18, 19, 20.

Episode 5 > Chapters 16, 23, 21.

Episode 6 > Chapters 24, 28, 25.

Episode 7 > Chapters 26, 29, 27.

Episode 8 > Chapters 39, 31, 55.

Episode 9 > Chapters 33, 34, 35.

Episode 10 > Chapters 37, 38, 40.

Episode 11 > Chapters 41, 42, 43, 44(first half).

Episode 12 > Chapters 44(second half), 45, 46.

Kaguya-sama S2:

Episode 1 > Chapters 30, 48, 57, 51.

Episode 2 > Chapters 52, 53, 54.

Episode 3 > Chapters 56, 59, 60.

Episode 4 > Chapters 58, 61, 65.

Episode 5 > Chapters 63, 64, 36 (not a typo), 66.

Episode 6 > Chapters 67, 68, 69.

Episode 7 > Chapters 70, 71, 73, 74.

Episode 8 > Chapters 72, 78, 79.

Episode 9 > Chapters 80, 81, 82.

Episode 10 > Chapters 83, 84, 85, 86. (also includes some panels from chapter 87)

Episode 11 > Chapters 88, 89, 90. (also includes some panels from chapter 87)

Episode 12 > Chapters 100, 101, 91.

Let me know if I made any mistake. This thread was possible thanks to a couple of previous threads on this forum so props to those users. I might update this when S3 and the OVA come out. I’d still recommend reading the manga in its entirety, but one could start at chapter 92 and even skip chapters 100-101 if they’re really in a rush to read the post-anime chapters.

Edit 1: Apparently, per the fandom wiki (https://kaguyasama-wa-kokurasetai.fandom.com/wiki/OVA_1), the S3 OVA coming out on May 19th will adapt chapters 64.1, 83.1 and 96, two of these chapters being end of volume bonus chapters with some fan service.

Edit 2: I just posted an updated version on the S3 forums, so if you want, you can check that out instead if you want a more updated version.

Indeed the anime skipped a lot of great chapters including Maki Shijo introduction (which pretty much they going to adapt at season 3 but still)

Yeah exactly. A lot of good mini-arcs/chapters got skipped and that’s why I still think chapters 1-91 are still worth the read.

I wish the skipped kaguya sama chapters get adapted in the future somehow.

For example, they could make like a "filler season" like Gintama:porori hen where it's just dedicated to pumping out skipped chapters and such.

I think that would be cool but instead of adapting the skipped chapters they could adapt the Kaguya sama wo Kataritai spin off that is pretty good and also kinda makes some background characters more important

High expectations before going in can quickly turn into heavy disappointment, my dude/dudette. Anyway, for me, they aren't even remotely close to Kaguya-sama's quality, but nonetheless good luck to you in your ventures <3

I think it will adapt up to 138 for sure. The season will probably end shortly after. Do you think it will adapt the
arcs or not?

Kudos to A-1 pictures for mixing up the chapters while not messing up the pacing and the enjoyment in the anime and kudos to you too OP.I can never have this kind of determination.

Season 3 will be the best season IMO. Best arc in the manga probably. It will be a bit different, but I’ll be really good... don’t worry.

Anyone who is using this list to read the unadapted chapters, remember to only read till chapter 91. Because chapters b/w 91 and 100 will be most likely adapted.

OP did a great job to summarize all of this, you really get a sense of how much it was skipped, and to me, the biggest problem with the adaptation of this series, it is a nitpick because the rest is emaculate work.

The OVA paved the way, IMO they need to start adapting more stuff they skipped in that format.
