So I hadn't watched this until just now, and after finishing the first season with a pretty satisfying feeling I went into season two with high expectations. However, after just the first episode I am having some doubts.

Okay, hear me out. I did like the ending of the first season good enough. While I think it's ultimately unhealthy to keep the chuuni act and repressing your true feelings they did show that Rikka finally could let go and say good bye to her father.

What I thought was going to happen in the next season was that she would keep her chuuni thing, cus it helps her cope and is now a big part of her personality, but she would also have a more serious side. Kind of like how Sanae does it, she has a couple of scenes in the first season were she shows her "true self" and I think that's great. Do all the chuuni stuff you want, high school kids can have imaginations and play around, but I would really love for Rikka to show some of that as well.

Maybe I'm just not far enough into the whole show to see this, but I'm worried now and honestly not sure if I want to keep watching if it's just going to be season one all over again with no character development.

I know it's been half a year, but if you're still doubting, worry not, Rikkas personality is gone a bit more in depth in this second season, and stick around for the movie afterwards, the again maybe you've already seen it all

This season is really bad compared to the first one. They should've just ended it there.
