| MAL chapter counts include any extra chapters released alongside the volume release. For Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Doujin-ban, there were two extra chapters that were released with the volumes. So although the last serialized chapter was indeed chapter 33, the chapter count is 35 to take into account the extra chapters released in the volumes.
