Really disappointed with this season. Season 1 was so fresh and original, season 2 just seemed cheesy, repetitive and so ridiculously over the top in comparison. It did have its moments though, but not enough to save it quite frankly. 5/10

That Midorima VS Akashi moment

Bruuuuuuh

Anyway, despite some slightly irritating shounen power ups and cheesy moments S2 still managed to entertain me as much as S1 and there also was some nice character development + they introduced Murasakibara, Hanamiya and Akashi

A strong 7/10 just like the first season

That was epic!

Kagami and Murasakibara in the zone was awesome!

Kagami's last basket was crazy and awesome!

Murasakibara couldn't move his legs and Kuroko just slaps the ball away like "no bitch" lol.

Murasakibara was gonna quit but no one believes him because he loves the game! aww and he cried at the end, bless.

Angry Kuroko at the end lol. Kagami and Himuro should still be brothers he thinks, yes they should and he didn't throw the ring away.

Aomine and Kise too <3

mfw Mukkun was just one big fat tsundere all along, hahaha

At first I wasn't too pleased with how season 2 turned out, with the matches basically boiling down to one v. ones and an escalation of power ups (all courtesy of THE ZONE), Riko's blatant mishandling of her players (Teppei in particular), Yosen losing to Seirin and not getting any points in while Mukkun of all people, said to be the most naturally gifted of the GoM, was in THE FUCKING ZONE etc. A whole lot of issues that ultimately brought the show down for me.
But once I dropped all expectations of an even remotely close to realistic depiction of basketball it became immensely more enjoyable, and while I maintain that this season is definitely inferior to its predecessor in more than one aspect (sound direction, length of the matches etc.) KnB 2 still more or less managed to be a thrilling experience. I'll gladly hop into season 3.

Man that last block by Kuroko was fuckin epic lol

Even tho this season was predictable as fuck, and had a lot of annoying power ups/asspulls, it was more enjoyable than S1.

That was a great match and very intense but that was close for Seirin, if Atsushi was not at his limit at the last second they would have lost that game. All in all the series was super great especially when they finally defeated Aomine next is Kise again. I wonder how will he be improved in the next season AND i cant wait until they face the great captain Akashi.

Dear God,

please don't let an anime end like that ever again.

It was cute but what was that Kuroko face at the end? What the hell?
I'm so glad he didn't throw out the necklace though. I knew he wouldn't. Hopefully Taiga and Tatsuya can remain friends, rivals, and brothers despite the outcome of this match and Tatsuya's shitty attitude.

What the hell... how is gon end abruptly just like that? They couldn't have extended it for a minute or two more to give it a PROPER conclusion to their brotherhood quarrel? Omfgggggg. I'm done.

Murasakibara crying was a good scene, though. Wasn't expecting that.

Season 1 was better in my opinion expecially because the last match was Aomine vs Kise which was the best match in all the season, so I think that the last match of this season should have been Kise vs Midorima (I think that's the next match by what they showed to us) and Murasakibara vs Kagami should have been the 1st one of season 3 to get HYPE into people.
Besides, I disliked a lot the part were Kagami had to go Zone mode because against Aomine is one thing, his a fcking god player, but to beat Murasakibara, they should have done it with their own strength and keep that power up to a probably Seirin vs Rakuzan!

Even among the asspull and friendship power wins Seirin was handed up until now (and even in s3) Seirin vs Yosen stands above all as the biggest asspull ever. Murasakibara's zone is basically useless and hardly gives him any powerups, while Kagami's suddenly lasts literally forever? Kuroko having no relevance throughout the match, and that ridiculous 'awww, Mura absolutely can't jump one last jump' are just the icing on the cake. I don't even like Murasakibara but being nerfed so much for the sake of the main characters' winning was painful to watch, even more painful than how Aomine lost - that, at least, made some semblance of sense in the light of his not training since middle school and hence his reduced stamina. But Murasakibara's match is just ridiculous with no excuses to be found whatsoever.

Overall, a visibly weaker season in comparison to season1, so if I could score s1 at 9/10, this season gets only 7/10, and that's me being generous.

Oh yeah, and the track Touou-sen Epilogue is absolutely awesome. S1 OST was good but S2 OST is even better.

ikr, it looked goofy didn't it?

theory on why murasaki reached the Zone:
-murasaki "loved" the game near the the end, but his body was at an all time low so it didn't work
- murasaki reached the Zone, or something like it, because it didn't last long
-(my favourite theory) he was so desperate to reach the Zone he did, but was kicked out because he didn't love the game (at least enough)

maybe when murasaki comes back he'll be able to reach the Zone, himura too at best ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it would be cool seeing himura than mrasaki tbh.

okay anime, the animation was above average but not as good as IG can be, OPs and EDs are meh. not better than haikyuu that's for sure, but will definitely watch S3.

Great season! Looking forward to see murasakibara get better is season 3!
There was a lot of unrealistic elements, but it only added to tension of the matches.
There is no information on atsushi yet but that midorima encounter with him was badass.

Also METEOR JAM!

Overall a strong 8/10

I literally lol'ed when murasakibara entered the zone. Not once did he show the bare minimum requirement for entering, but somehow manages it at the very last moment. Either it's broken or none of them understand it.

I'm impressed by Kuroko, I love the fact that he's genuinely improving. Being able to run down murasakibara like that at the end was no mean feat from someone with so little stamina

Murasakibara looks good in ponytail ;D

It's funny that Tatsuya don't have left eye, only shadow lol Mirage shot is too long that they able to talk while Tatsuya is on the air :D :D

It end already. The only thing I like this show is Aomine vs Seirin game. This show is all about Kagami being the star of the team, Kuroko barely shine. sad.

It's weird to come back to this show after five years away from it, but I'm happy I'm back and finished the second season in under two weeks! Watching this was a different experience, partly due to the change in composer. The disaster movie-like pieces Ike composed brought out all the tension in the games.

The Yosen game was great. Atsushi entering "The Zone" came as a surprise to me because of how much he's stated time and time again that he hates basketball. As Kuroko mentioned, it isn't as much as he thinks. Daiki mentioned only those who appreciate basketball can enter "The Zone," and it's clear Atsushi likes basketball. After all, why would he keep playing it if he didn't like it?

I'm happy Himuro also finally admitted he isn't as strong as Kagami. Seeing him trying to convince himself over and over that he was on par, if not stronger, got irritating and got in the way of his gameplay a few times. I also didn't find Kagami entering "The Zone" as annoying with this match because of the slight conflict we got with it. He was trying to force it and it was good when he realized, on his own, that it needed to come naturally.

As a whole, this series is still a strong sports anime, but I do think Season 1 was stronger. The side characters weren't really expanded all that much (outside of Junpei and Kiyoshi) and while the Yosen game showed Kagami and Kuroko not relying on each other as much, other users seem to be bringing up a common point. It's coming at a cost to Kuroko's gameplay. He's getting better and we're seeing him break out of his shell more with former teammates, but how will he support the team going forward? What about the other Seirin first years? That aside, I'm excited for the last season and how Seirin will go against Akashi. 8/10

What a finale, this entire season was levels beyond what the first season set up, great game, and blood-boiling climax. I can't wait to start the third season.

The point of Muk's Zone was to show that he came to love Basketball after all. Losing like this shouldn't feel bad as his potential is much more important than the result of a single competition, just like Aomine losing after not attending practice.

I admit this season didn't feel quite as good as the first one, but for me the reason is actually because of how much better Kise's match closed that season. Sure, Kagami and Tatsuya's little drama was cringe too, but then again, we got Aomine vs Taiga which was legendary.

KnB knows how to make great ending, though i find the end of S1 better.

so they give murasakibara enter the zone after all? oh well, at least it's only for getting beat by kagami new move :p

himura and kagami really baka to determine things like this by losing or winning, that's the whole point of brotherhood as i see it.

about the season, i think it was better directed and had better pace than S1 that went by fast-turbo pace, but still S1 feel more "free" in term of writing since the outcome of this season is pretty expected, but S2 sure feels like a big win in terms of action and original power ups.

!!!!!That METEOR JAM!!!!!!!! That was crazy epic! And when Kagami & Kiyoshi tried to block Murasakibara’s shot together, my heart almost burst.

The OST & ED playing when Kuroko blocked that final shot was SO GOOD. This last episode flew by just like that. Fucking epic!!!!!

Murasakibara’s tears uwu!! In the words of the captain, it’s just the beginning. Especially for him. How amazing!!!!

SEIRIN I BELIEVE IN YOU ♡______♡

Also I’m glad Kuroko didn’t throw away Kagami’s sexy necklace.

This climax had everything

- Teppei comeback
- three openings and ending in the episode
- Murasakibara Zone
- Meteor Jam
- teasing the next matches

This was such an epic match with so many great character moments, holy shit. I loved that Murasakibara really started fighting towards the end. Him tearing up hit hard :/ such a basketball tsundere lol

Kagami should be the MVP, but Kuroko scoring first and with the last block, my man deserves that title too.

This season is going to keep the 10/10

The entertaiment value is as high as ever and almost unmatched.

Great season, and there's still more that we haven't really seen.

I want to know what specialties Seijuro Akashi has. As of the end of this season he's the only one that we haven't seen in action whatsoever.

Overall this season had the same intensity and comedy as the last one. I especially love Episode in which Kuroko asks Aomine to teach him to shoot, and Aomine says "What the fu-" and then it cuts off to the next scene. That was extremely funny.

About this final game, it wasn't what I expected. I assumed that Seiren couldn't rely on Kagami being in the zone for the rest of the game, but I didn't expect Murasakibara to get into the zone himself. Especialliy given in the previous episode it was explained that one has to live and breath basketball, or in other words have basketball be their true passion. It's communicated by Atsushi throughout the season that he only plays basketball because he's good at it and loves winning. I guess even his Teiko teammates didn't know that he was really into basketball. Now that I think about it, the fact that Atsushi couldn't do that last jump makes sense given that normally he exclusively focuses on defense and doesn't jump nearly as much as he did in this game. He was definitely trying a lot harder than he ever has before and the way that he was straight up crying in the face of defeat was so understandable and touching.

I wonder if Rakuzan will be Seiren's opponent in the ending of the last season, or if they'll run into him sooner rather than later. There is a chance that Kise decides to attempt to copy Kagami when he gets into the zone. That'd be a match to see.

Murasakibara entering the zone last second was truly dangerous. Had the plot not made Alex come over and teach Kagami the weird dunk shot. They would have lost. On top of that Murasakibara couldn't jump. I didn't expect to see him crying tbh.
