More senior groups are showing up, and in this case: Class 2's Lancelot. Because just covering the newbie groups would make it too stale and boring.

Immediately from the get-go, setting their playing grounds against i♥B, and the level of skill is implorable, much less the terrible first impressions of Issei vs. Lucas. Futami and Takamichi are funny guys though.

Even with Principal Kuma, the foreseeable moment that the songs that i♥B penned from Lucas are bad, unfortunately it hits a snag. The off-campus moment of Lancelot (as is with RE:BERSERK's tech run) shows their capabilities, and NGL, I liked their performances A LOT MORE than the newbies who are just starting out with sheet music.

Harsh? Yes, but it should be said that music comes from the heart: less of the paper, more of the emotion.

The newbie groups should be harassed more by the senior classes to show that they have lots more to go and learn, that's how you make successful idol groups for the long run.

Facepalm at this episode, there's no definitive way to play music. If they want to play it perfectly then fine.

And Idols in I-Chu are very aggressive.

Nice episode, in which I🤍B, more specifically Lucas, is the focus.

Lucas was like Kousei this episode and Issei was like Kaori (both from Your Lie In April) with them trying to convince them to not follow the music sheet to every note. Hence the more exciting performance.

Looking forward to more!

You can play the notes correctly, but that doesn’t mean it will sound just as good as someone else who also plays it correctly. Almost every instrument has a concept that explains this, guitars have phrasing, bass has feel, drums have timing and rhythm.

The whole point of the episode is that it is the unique individual nuances of each member that collectively elevate the group. This doesn’t mean music played without any of that is bad, but most people would agree music with these qualities is objectively better.

don't you mean, subjectively* better? because music is completely subjective...

You could not be painting with a broader brush. Taste in music is subjective. The qualities that are universally shared by talented musicians are significantly less subjective than that.

I love the Jazz performance so much.
Uchida Yuuma's voice ( Futami Akabane Lancelot) and kinda different than other characters he's voicing. Maeno Tomoaki's voice is as good as ever.

Hahaha Issei looking out for his kyouhais in his own way, how cute!! Also at some point Shirai Yuusuke sounds just like Ishikawa Kaito, their voices are pretty similar to me

And damn!!!! RE:BERSERK’s song was actually such a bop. Their voices were so good, didnt know Shimono Hiro could sing like that!

but i’ll probably remember over and over again
you were there and everyone else was there
