At first, I thought she was a yandere, and had been comparing her with Satou from Happy Sugar Life for a while, but the more Nana's true personality unfolded, the harder I found it to describe her.

I wouldn't really put here under a certain dere type. She does have a twisted mindset, being dedicated to her mission and having no problems killing those who are deemed a threat, however she does have a more sweet, caring side to her that comes out under certain circumstances.

Go read the manga if you wonder what she's truly like. But if you want a short version without spoilers then: She actually isn't evil, her intent isn't plesure of killing or revenge, she is a victim of childhood trauma and brainwashing into believing killing talented is right thing to do that will save innocent lives like her family was. Otherwise if she would be evil or psycho or hatefull why would she pray for the dead? Why would she need a phone with a kill counts? Why would she start questioning if a certain individiual good or bad?

Why would she need a phone with a kill counts?

The satisfaction of the kill - "I've stopped you killing x many people, so nyah !"

Why would she start questioning if a certain individiual good or bad?

Pyschopaths also question things as well. The important thing is she didn't stop. Unless she doesn't full control over her actions, then the whole "brainwashing" malrky is a bit incongruent.

Otherwise if she would be evil or psycho or hatefull why would she pray for the dead?

If she wasn't evil, she wouldn't be killing them in the first place. Besides, it's a common practise. Wouldn't necessarily mean much to her.

Pretty sweet kind to me, dep down that is, but a psychopath initially, no yandere in there, and from the manga onwards I was right.

Well, Nana was a smart and badass, but when she knows the truth, she's changed because of her friend. And the reason of her killing intent personality was, she was being manipulated by her superior and all of that she is nice

Evil, manipulative, self-righteous, self-serving.

starts off as clearly sociopathic but there is a human behind the trauma and the manipulative exterior. she's definitely not a yandere, her actual feelings towards other humans is normal, yes even her initial views on the talented.
"I like young-girl sexual creations, Lolicon is just one hobby of my many hobbies," he says.
I ask what his wife, standing nearby, thinks of his "hobby".
"She probably thinks no problem," he replies. "Because she loves young boys sexually interacting with each other."

Unlikable in one word. Got to say, she reminds me of what "Koko hekmatyar" once said:
"I hate soldiers who turn off their brains and blindly obey orders". While Nana is very smart she is overconfidant and reckless at times, doesn't question whether her superior is lying or telling the truth. Even after spending time with the other students, she just follows the order given and stops thinking about it any deeper.

Can't say I didn't want to see her fail. But with the title of the anime being what it is, I guess it can't be helped.
