im kinda confused theres seems to be a huge contrast between how this manga is talked about and praised and its low score not just here but on other review sites as well? im confused does mal have an issue with obscure series? cuz this isn't the only one im wondering having a weird disconnect between the reviews and scores

People are too quick to judge, and the beginning for any series is crucial on the image it's trying to set. Unfortunately this series had a bad start, and the public image of this being a generic carbon copy trashy isekai is set in stone. The reason why the reviewers rate this fairly high as it should be is because we simply didn't drop it. Unlike the one's who stuck through with it, the majority on the other hand followed something similar to the "three episode rule" for example, that reasoning sunk it's potential of popularity and now we are stuck at this unfortunate rating. This work is also the author's first so the hiccups were there from the beginning but then he steadily improved into an underrated legend, creating the legendary My Home Hero manga. This improvement also translated into this manga as well, bringing us arcs based off real life events with excellent strategies and to top it off good literature writing. It's a shame this isn't rated as high as it should but thank god we got the anime adaptation even if it's shitty in animation, the plot should make up for it and hopefully people look past that and come support the author as well.

In short, it drives away readers who would enjoy it because it's isekai, and drives away isekai lovers because it's too 'hardcore', leaving only the few people who actually read it writing it good reviews. Read through it and you'll understand.

Also partially because the official release comes once every 6 month, making it near impossible to follow.

people just read the first chapter and give a low score. That's it. There's a bunch of series had a similar problem. But, i think it's okay so far because it's still going, there's a bunch of good manga finished early because of the low popularity. For example, there's a newer manga called "Time paradox ghost writer" which had a very good start and had a potential to be great, but finished early because of the low popularity. Thank god this series is still going
