iirc the mc is supposed to have a girlfriend. I think I read it on wikipedia

It’s because the main character Makoto, in the original novels, has a girlfriend who is murdered.....they might introduce that as the story unfolds more and we see their reasons for fighting. But it could also be a possibility they’ve decided to drop that whole story (hence no female character listed) in the anime adaptation. But if there’s going to be romance in the show, it would be about Makoto’s story not anything else such as yaoi fan service. Regardless, it’s still a well executed story with entertaining characters so I recommend you just enjoy it!

I really like Romance Anime in fact it is the reason I got hooked onto Anime......

But I'd rather not watch Romantic scenes in this Anime.

its crazy that anime with obvious romantic interests dont have a romance tag nd this anime literally has zero romance and gets the tag. blows my mind. I have to literally hunt for anime that has romance in it but is misstagged and this thing gets ROMANCE? I dont get it.

Yeah this is so true anime like Violet Evergarden and many other anime having Fantasy tag has romance but no romance tag for some reason. Tbh I got baited by the tag so I guess ill just end up watching the whole thing now 😃
