| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So Ibuya lost his job out of nowhere amidst the political struggles. The show really does a good job at kinda making the viewer share the position of the MC, on the lowest end of the hierarchy where they don't really know what's going on most of the time aside from in very broad strokes. One day new people are in power all of a sudden and you lose your job. It must be frustrating. On the other hand the western doctors at least got the vaccination clinic approved although the chaos and mixed signals from the government were even stronger in that part of the episode. |

| The approval for the vaccination clinic is probably just a small victory compared to tragedy which might prevail sooner or later. Sucks to be Ibuya, getting fired as an official, luckily we got a proper employment law nowadays, well more or less ^^ |

| Was already a bit suspicious of the sudden acceptance of western physicians but despite it being an error at least they got a small pox vaccination clinic out of it! Too bad about Manjirou being fired due to the vague shift within the government |
