| Mikado is sure a twisted man. That scene with Izumi at the end was the best of the episode. And that guy from the yakuza (Akabayashi's partner) is also in the plot. Interesting. Other than that, I'm liking Chikage more and more each episode, and Anri and Saki's talk was cute and nice to see. I like Saki's eyes and smile. I want to see what Izaya is planning to do to Shizuo. Can't wait to next week. |

| Ohhhhh gawd that was intense and thrilling! Mikado finally getting some goooooood stuff going on - you can barely think what he is thinking and that's terrifying. Izaya was right in the preview-part: "You'll never get bored!", hahahah. |

| It was Namie, she woke up after getting drugged and wanted Mikado to put and end of everything. Her chat name is her actual name like Saki. Also in the ending you can see her using a laptop. |

| Mikado's dark side, I like it and hate it at the same time, leaning more towards loving it though. Izaya wanting to eliminate Shizuo? Fuck you, Izaya. Akabayashi coming back? Oh hell yeah. I never thought I'd like him but he's already one of my faves. |

| Eh, it wasn't that interesting. I don't mind characters talking a lot, but at least entertain me :c This series needs more Mikado, seriously. Let this guy finally do something, geez. |

| For those anime only viewers who underestimated Mikado through entire show, it should be very rewarding to rewatch it from beginning. All the traits and things he displays now has always been there from the beginning. But unlike Izaya who embraced his "IM a Joker type trickster badguy!" role, Mikado played the role of "normal everyday guy" near perfectly. But with information available by now, a lot of his actions through the story take on a whole new meaning. AS the famous line of The Usual Suspects goes " "the finest trick of the devil is to persuade you that he does not exist". And Mikado is so good at that that he ended up manipulating quite a big part of the audience along the way. Its really damn satisfying to see the adaptation do justice to the pay off of his character build up, as Mikado long since became the most interesting centerpiece of the whole show. |

| This entire anime has been hyping Mikado up so much. I'm not convinced yet but that can all change depending on later episodes. I wonder what Izumii gave Mikado. I get the feeling it's a bomb or some kind of weapon. For all of Izaya's talk about letting humans rule the stage he wants Shizuo out of the way. But is he forgetting Shizuo's a human too? xD |

| Chikage is so on point this season. The Blue Squares Yellow Scarves mumbo jumbo is super convoluted, and Kida is dumb for running away but then acting like Mikado is the one who should get some sense punched into him (though...he does need that haha). Kida has been annoying me since he returned, because he was acting like he never left and trying to settle scores when a lot of what happened was caused by him leaving in the first place. Glad to see a character voice my thoughts on it. I don't really take anything Mikado says seriously. It feels so fake for him to care if Aoba did his homework or to worry about Celty (right after saying he thinks she is boring now, basically) when the next second he is stabbing hands or laughing about doing things he knows are wrong. Alllso, Mikado still seems...very naive to me. Despite how /crazy/ he is, or how far he is willing to go to reach his goal of creating a space for his friends, or whatever, he seems really ignorant of the potential consequences of his actions. Meeting with the guy from Awakusu did not deter him from being the leader of the Blue Squares. He seems like a kid who is playing God and doesn't understand what that really means. Rather than having Kida or Anri talk/punch some sense into him, I would actually prefer for the Dollars to be taken over by Awakusu or some scary adult clique and for Mikado to see he really stands no chance against the underworld (basically put him in his place). It was interesting that all of the "good times" flashbacks Mikado had were in season one. It has been months(?) in the show since the main three have actually been friends, and for me like six years since I saw them being friendly with each other. It feels like it has been so long that I am always shocked when I hear them say how much they care for one another. I'm struggling with a lot of characters' motivations. What does Aoba want? The series is almost over and I still don't know. I know he is /using/ Mikado as the face of the Dollars, and that he is using it as a cover (I guess) for the former Blue Square members, but...for what? Is it as vague/simple as "power"? Like what does a 16 year old kid have to gain from getting into fist fights with color gangs... Also, some characters seem kind of pointless to me. There are so many at this point, and I still don't get why Izaya's sisters or some of the Russians even matter. I realize they spiderweb-like tie-in to other stories, but they don't seem very relevant when you strip the story to its bare bones. But I guess I am just looking for things to criticize at this point, lol. |
