| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- I hate how ridiculous they would act during this time whenever someone was "in the way" of their master's palanquin. Getting angry and yelling, "what insolence!". Seriously? Like in this chapter, where a family is traveling and their wagon wheel gets stuck in the mud. As they struggle to get it out, a group of people escorting a woman in a palanquin sees them and gets angry and starts yelling at them to move. Instead of helping them, they're ready to kill over something trivial. They could just walk around. It isn't that serious. George and King are nearby and see what's going on. King gets angry and runs over to pull the wheel out so that nobody gets hurt. After seeing how strong he is, the woman in the palanquin comes out and asks him to do it again because she wants to see his strength. He gets mad, but George tells him to do it. Then the woman tells him to take his clothes off because she wants to see his muscles. At this point, King is pissed, but he does it because he doesn't want the other people to be killed if he refuses. That's when they notice he's a black man. The woman orders him to lift the wagon over his head and even thinks of making him her servant. It's at this point that King has had enough and he throws the wagon at her and her escorts. She orders her men to kill them all, so George and King fight back. King is happy to dish out some justice. The woman is the only one left, so King chases her down and strips her nude as payback and forces her to eat mud, but he leaves her alive. They leave the scene and later on King finds out where she's staying at to make sure she survives since it wasn't his intention to kill her. After all is well, him and George leave for their next adventure. |
