Looks like there wasn't that much more in waiting, story-wise. The entire episode was just building up to the big fight at the end.
I watched the first movie a little while ago, too. Only Iria and Bob were carried over to it, and everything else was entirely different. It even took place on earth. It seems like the second movie takes things more into sci-fi, so I think I'll check that out before the very last episode.

Yeah, I saw the thing coming with her brother from the first episode, didn't think it would take so long to be "revealed". Her kid partner's identity was kind of a surprise but I never really knew one way or the other to begin with most the time :P I sort of started detecting a more lusty craving for Iria from Zeiram (not sure how exactly, it just seemed that way once or twice), and then Fujikuro's suggesting they're not actually related*? So...

The film looks slightly silly but that it might be fun, gonna give it a watch anyway. Would be a shame it's on Earth, not this crazy Chinese (Vietnamese according to Keita Amemiya) steampunk mushroom land (everything's a mushroom! And I like it!).

*Bob said something similar thing too ("Iria's brother? You mean Glen?"). Maybe it's all just a translation confusion but they did seem to be drawing attention to something, not necessarily romantic...

Not really surprising that Glen would be part of Zeiram. Other than that I thought I skipped an episode and she was already fighting the boss.

Didn’t see the reveal with Kai being a girl. Nothing else really came from this episode as they are now setting up for the big fight.

So Kei is a girl, I don't see why that matters for anything though lol

Official reveal that Zeiram has taken over Glen, that's so sad D:

Lots of action this episode!

So, how do you kill this thing? They haven't explained it yet.

As for what I do understand now is: instead of infecting Glen in to its puppet it made it assimilated it. When the original one survived the explosion of Karma and got transported into space by Iria (where it mostly likely died); the Glen's Zeiram made it way to his planet and started creating puppet. But why didn't it assimilate every one he could instead?

Also, Iria and Glen didn't turn out be actual siblings and Kei was a girl.

Great episode! That was an intense fight between Iria and Zeiram. Turns out Gren really is part of Zeiram and was absorbed by it. Gren is the reason Iria is still alive and not getting chomped on. Too bad Iria couldn't mercy kill Gren when she had the opportunity though. Maybe Dr. Touka can find a way to separate Gren from Zeiram at some point.

It also was cool when Fujikuro flew by to save Iria after the nade blew her and Zeiram off the ramp. I like how he insists he's just a business associate but conveniently manages to be there to support her time and again.
