Not going to lie though, she looks a lot better in that form. Very fillerish episode. It looks like they got a surprise when Tomaru (the actor from the romance show Cho-Cho was watching) showed up. | I know this isn't the correct forum, but holy shit episode 65 though. Looks like Pierrot can actually do some good shit when they try. Anyway, I'm just creeped out because Tomaru looks like he's around 20 years old, while Chocho is like 12. This guy needs to chill out lol. Also, I can't help but chuckle at the fact that when we first saw Choji use his butterfly mode, he was in the middle of an important fight and practically almost died afterward, meanwhile Chocho is using it to look more attractive to some actor. Oh how times have changed. |

| Alright. After 2 years and 7 months, it's finally time I get back to watching this show. I never bothered venturing beyond episode 65 as, at the time, that was the end of the Boruto canon for me. I've still read the manga every month when a new chapter comes out, but the anime was dead to me after 65. However, my friends are telling me the anime has caught up to the manga and things are getting interesting, so here I am. I suppose I could skip these slower-paced arcs, but Ikemoto made the annoying decision to canonize most of the anime so I'd be shooting myself in the foot if I did that.
Rating: 2/5 Well, the most interesting parts of the episode were the small bit with Orochimaru and Mitsuki sparring, and the appearance of the Amegakure ninja. I believe Ame and Konoha are in peaceful terms in the New Era, so whoever he is, he must be acting on his own. Chocho is kind of setting herself up for disappointment by trying to hide her true self. No doubt the arc will end on some feel-good, sappy note about how it's okay to be yourself. By the way, isn't she consuming a lot of chakra maintaining that form? |
