Just as the title says. The mods been sleeping again, or didn't had time. Anyways, 8 epsiodes in I noticed that there is a dub. Never remember those VA's, which is kinda nice, since always hearing the same voices gets kinda dull. But it also sounds a bit ill-fitted, like a mid 90s anime, but it's fine for a dub. The pokemon that's flying around her is well voiced, tho.

Anyways, dub. Enjoy who didn't know.

I dunno about what you wrote cuz I didn't feel that at all. The dub is pretty good. Another good dub by Crunchyroll.

As far as I know and seen of their dubs they've done very minute garbage lines to the script with cringy lines for no apparent reason just to annoy and go off what the Japanese script is suppose to say unlike top tier trash companies like funimation on their dubs.

Thus far I've only cringed probably less than 10 times over the span of 60+ episodes of various other anime's they've done. That's saying a lot to me.

I hope Crunchyroll keeps up the high quality English dub and keep doing this forever sticking to the original script as much as possible (only having to change to fit voice lip syncing) and let the voice actors/tress show off their vocal talents and us enjoy the episode without being annoyed at the change.

Well, since I don't compare dub to what was subbed, I can't really tell what was cringe and what was intended cringe. I just felt that the dubbed VAs just felt on top of the characters as being the characters. But that's just because I watched half of the anime subbed and in the source material they are a bit more integrated in the happenings.

I blame solely to funimation on how they do their English dubs as to why I've been doing comparison dubs to the subs. I won't ever trust them and I don't see myself stopping that anytime soon.

For this show there wasn't any cringy lines. Some lines they had to alter to lip sync and all.

Another prominent anime CR did that's still lingering in my head is Shield Hero that had just a half dozen in the span of 25 episodes. That's impressive to me so for this anime I'm pretty impressed. I even watched that funny scene in episode 5 a couple of times in the English dub as well as other episodes.

So I usually watch Subs but sometimes I just Dubs because I don't want to read my anime (usually after a rough week or past few days), so while watching this dub I noticed that in the first episode that mention "one of those isekai people", "Truck isekai/Trunk-Kun" and a few other things that sounds like it was changed for the dub rather then in the Sub.

Can either of you or anyone else confirm if the sub has a script like this? Or it's a Dub only thing?

Funimation (Dragon Maid is a major example) and Crunkyroll has been more and more changing the original sub scripts when they dub them, more often losing the original intent of said line or outright inserting some personal line (sometimes agenda pushing) that has nothing tied to the original script.

More and more I am losing faith in the Dubs and their VA's because of the lack of faith I have in them following the script close enough that the original intent of said script isn't lost. Instead they have more and more often been changing the Dub scripts to the point it either somewhat follows the source material or doesn't at all follow it.

Does the Dub for this series stay pretty loyal (or pretty darn close) to the original script? Or does it deviate too much to the point that context and continuity is lost?
