Well, this series has been an amazing ride till now, but I don't have any idea how it can be wrapped up in the next 5 episodes.
Almost all characters have some (family) issues (which have not even been explored properly). Add to that the tournament itself.
Do you think it will have a 2nd season?? Season 2 of original shows is quite rare after all.

I rather have open ends than rushed closures.

A second season would depend on sales (BD & DVD, merchandise and whatever they can get with international licensing), since no one watches it on TV.

There's also the chance it gets adapted into a manga/light novel.

My prediction:

1. Maki dad issue would probably be resolved. (Maybe not in the best way possible because we all know this show aims for realism + bitter sweet)

2. Toma family issue may be showcased, but might not be resolved. (On top of Toma got involved with Maki dad issue)

3. National-wise I think they'd be so unfortunate to fight against the champion candidate school and lost at first game, but other clubs would recognized the boy tennis clubs' effort and dedication and still vouch for them. The president of school council ended up compromise. This way they can rap up national in at most 2 episodes, leaving screen time for other issues.

They added more drama instead of solving some. Except for the drama part, the show was really amazing.(as a slice of life that is)
