| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I almost feel bad for Takuma. Seeing him at the bottom of the school's ranks is depressing. Still, he has to work his way up and earn the rank he deserves. Sigh, the weird humor still carries into the show from the first episode. Itsuyo is cringy as fuck. Does she really want a headpat from her dad that badly? LOL |

| A hero huh. Given his personality that does sound like a tall order. Despite mischievous personality Itsuyo's desire to help her fellow students seems to be genuine. With both looks and brain no wonder she has such a strong following in school. Its a shame that Takuma's phobia ended ups sabotaging his exams despite all the hard work that he put in. To think that the level headed Itsuyo would actually have a father complex though. Still while unusual Itsuyo's level up attempt sure was amusing. Natsuki's valk form sure was nice though. Despite her nature it looks like Itusyo's desire to be strong isn't for selfish reasons. Thankfully the power up came in the nick of time for Natsuki. Overall an interesting ep that did well in expanding upon Itsuyo's character while also slowly expanding upon Mutsumi. Looks like things are starting to get interesting with the new villain reveal thats closer than expected though. |

| I tried. I really did. This series just doesn't do it for me. The lack of a real setup and the writing that assumes you already know everything makes this really hard to swallow. |

He has his own problems with his phobias, grades and general school-life issues, and meanwhile the girls are all just using him to power themselves up for their own reasons As a result the only thing Val x Love is really accomplishing so far is making you feel sorry for the protagonist. If it's supposed to be a raunchy ecchi/harem then it clearly doesn't seem to understand the importance of atmosphere, because the last thing on the MC's mind right now is fooling around with girls Right now all it makes me want is for Takuma to become more socially accepted and get his life in order. I couldn't care less about any of the girls though |

I can't keep watching a harem anime with hopeless MC like this. Yes, but you'll need patience. Considering the passing so far it should start in the 5th or 6th episode. |

Poor MC, was trying really hard to do what she wants, but gets slap instead... But I guess Student Prez isn't the LEWD girl we thought she was... it was all an ACT And yea, Headpats has been proven to always be the correct choice when dealing with an upset girl. | After watching Date A Live all these years (IDK if you can really tell, please enlighten me) I can't really help but carry A LOT of parallels from said series to this, with the only exception being the MC being a wimp or not. And the same feelings as the rest, as Takuma is such a sorry state of a character who can't get things right. I'm just gonna outright say that the former has a better "plot" than this in both story and character. Monster Girl of the week formula??? The second Saotome sister Itsuyo, as much as she is an internal yandere, but her outer self is as much as a father-con. Try as they might to give her characterization, I'd just think that this was some blatant rip-off of some character Welp to fanservice and such, didn't think that it would be this obnoxious. To the harem...lemme just think about it. 1 more episode to make or break. |

| Uninspired harem garbage. The main protagonist is really starting to annoying me. The entire anime is an excuse to get ecchi, but the ecchi scenes aren't even good. There is what I think is supposed to be comedy in this, but it all falls flat. I also really dislike the dark overlay all of the colors seem to have. Dropped. |

That storage room scene ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)......that ass!.... but it ended in a cute way with the head pat and the kiss on the cheek. Looks like she was forcing herself to grow up. Btw, Natsuki's hot pants suddenly got smaller? wut |
| Poor guy's trying his best to get by in school all while being hassled by the nine valkyries. Itsuyo got her head pat in the end, not from her dad; as she frequently liked to mention, but Takuma at least. |
| MC is hard to watch because of his problems. Hoping for good development for him. I find this a bit dull than other harem shows that I've watched. But its still just the 2nd episodes. I don't find any of the girls interesting atm. |
| I feel bad for Takuma, getting bad grades and suddenly having to deal with demons and letting 9 sisters fall in love with him, all of that stuff while having a huge phobia for people.... I also feel bad for Yamada, how many times has he survived falling out of the window by now.... |
