DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This season or at least the more recent episodes seems to really like to focus on Shikadai. Anyways, we get to see him teaming up with Boruto to deal with more troubles. Somehow, Tonton still remains relevant after all these years lol. |

| Looks like this episode is more focused on Shikadai's development as captain. That team is the real dream team though I wonder if we will get a more serious episode soon, like arc about the chunin exams. |

| those 2 arguing was a little too much lol specially ridiculous when they did it on the bridge, even more after they just talked about the pig being scared of the bridge...like seriously? guess i'll skip the next episode... after 800+ episodes, even i am starting to get bored of stupid episodes <.< |

| Iwabe was the real fuck in this episode, I hated him. I thought Boruto was going to be a pain in the ass, but I'm very proud of him. I think though, Shikadai should've contained a bit of Temari in him instead of being just a complete reincarnation of Shikamaru. At least make the hair blonde or his eye color different. Change something to show he's her son, dammit! I hate the character design in this show so much. |

| Wait......did the preview for the next episode basically confirm we are going onto the Daimyo's son arc from the Boruto manga. So actual canon stuff. Hopefully this will lead into the Ao arc as well. |

| First I thought that pig was Shizune's pig, Tonton. I didn't know there were more of them. It would be nice if Shizune had shown herself in this ep. I can't remember seeing her, and if so it has been very long time ago. True, the war is over, but funny to think about the different scale Shikamaru and Shikadai had for their first mission. Not going to complain because I don't expect more of the animation studio, but it's funny the scale is so huge. A meh in between filler. |

I know it makes sense, but Boruto being set in a time of peace where all villages get along and the only hardship is a recycled version of the magic bitch from the end of Naruto really does make for a much, much less gripping show. I feel compelled to watch it just because I love the world that Naruto build so much, but it's such a disappointment in comparison. Enough with the damn filler. It even looks like next episode is nothing but a shameless cash grab to sell some shitty Naruto card game. Might just have to leave Boruto until I've got 15 or so episodes and I can jump over the turds. |

| damn these were the kind of filler episodes I loved in the original Naruto, a random mismatch team doing a mission, maybe this is a perfect example of Boruto struggling to recapture the same magic as it's predecessor. I happily rewatched Naruto, Shippuden and almost all its specials/movies multiple times, but Boruto has definitely been a struggle to get through in comparison. At least I'm still slowly making a lil progress on it, hopefully it picks up eventually, and I'm hoping the second part will be a lot stronger overall too. That said I feel even with the improvement, it will struggle to live up to it's legacy, but as long it can at least be overall enjoyable I think that's enough. |
