Heh, that sleepover. Cute.

The baseball match had some awkward moments but maintained a decent momentum. One more episode left.

So the National's finally begin. But man to think their first game will be against Seijo high though. The shared meal between the two teams though really helped in breaking the ice. While no doubt filled with tension it was nice seeing the two teams show their resolve to win. The match though sure was fun. Seijo's mistakes in the first half sure enabled the team to get an advantage over them. The second half sure proved to be more challenging though thanks to Sayaka's refocus. Quite curious as to how this will end though as with Seijo now back to top form the team will have a tough game ahead of them. Can't wait to see how this will end next ep. Overall a strong ep that combined the calm and friendly attitude that came before the storm with the tension that developed when the tide began to turn.

They have indeed improved very much, but only that is not enough to win.

Only 1 episode left, sounds quite rush last episode, if not then...

My favorite character Saya is keeping a cool head, I'm really proud of her in that pressure. Even though they won't win I still am rooting for Seijo. But I don't take anything away from Satogahama, they really worked hard.

The animation was a flop in this game! But hey, don't expect too much from this light weight. I also believe this needed a second cour to tell a rich comprehensive plot, 22-26 episodes were needed in fact. I don't believe the last episode would be that good in quality, in terms of ending to be precise. I bet it will be void.

This is getting good. I want Satogahama to win so bad. It's a travesty that this is only getting 12 episodes.

"Never underestimate the power of coincidence."

The girls are facing their arch-nemesis, Jinguji's school, Seijo High. In the very first match of the Nationals. That matters much for Arihara, because from the beginning, her thought process of a team is (still) amateur at best (with room of improvement) , while Jinguji's at a pro level as always.

With that said, let the Game begin. With both Seijo (restoring their championship level) and Satogohama (coming this far with no regrets). The resolve to win is strong.

Game 1, Set 1. Play Ball!
Testing each other's grounds.
And @lihle808 sub-par animation is the constant here, no getting your hopes up for even a Season 2.
Learning from the game with the arrogant blonde last episode, the Satogohama girls got their groove and acted like a team. Same goes with Jinguji and Seijo High with their brief encounter with the former at the beginning.

Game 1, Set 2.
Jinguji coerces her team to be on guard, sending a strong message to the girls. And also to Arihara's team.

The score tied at 1-1. How will this turn out? Tune in next week, last episode.

Ray! What a thrill!. Satogahama had a tough opponent, Seijo. It was the first team with which they practiced and now they are the first team with which they compete in an official match. If I am an optimist, either team could win, since the Sagotahama team has experienced members, and they have tried hard to practice, they are no longer just beginners or fans. They are a true team.

Hahaha, I love Asada πŸ˜‚. She is a lucky girl, she always finds the way.

They are tied ... the match is where it started. Good luck to both teams. Although of course, I want our girls to win πŸ˜….

Jinguji is skilled, but she and her team are all under pressure to win. In comparison, Tsubasa's team have high morale and more relaxed. I think they might actually win this. Jinguji made the mistake of not throwing the ball to first base as her teammate told her to.

Also rare time seeing Asada frown when she was struck out. nano da! xD

Animation problem due to not enough time staff and money.
Which is unfortunate considering the plot is pretty solid (despite not being special). Definitely better some higher-budgeted anime we had from Spring this year.

What a coincidence that their first game is against Seijo High.

One more episode to go.

Pretty good episode overall. The girls' first match in the tournament resulted to be with Seijo Academy (talking about coincidences) and so far, they're doing a pretty decent job. They are all more connected as a team than Seijo, that's for sure but let's see if that's enough when in comes to deal with Jinguji and Seijo's experience.

On a side note, I also have to say that the scene where Waka says it was the first time she touches a base in a match was quite emotional for me. She considers herself to be the "weakest" of the team yet she always finds a way to help her teammates. I'm so proud of her, honestly.

And by the way, I also noticed I never mentioned it before but the OST of this show is simply amazing. A perfect addition for an spokon anime and probably, the strongest point of this series.

That said, there is still one more episode to go. I wonder how this match will conclude.

this anime could've done better with a two cour and 24 episodes. more development and they wouldn't of had to squeeze in this tournament arc til the ned.
