| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- More focus on Stella and her squad again. Despite the moody background story, I did find it important to show more of its world history. That smile Stella flashed to her teammate Lily seems like a genuine one. Maybe we'll be seeing more and more actual smiles after all. |

Also, considering the name of the next episode, looks like Stella and Yuki might be meeting next episode? No idea how the fuck they get there, though. Also, I wonder who that one elite troop on Yuki's side was. |
| I thought they would run into a trap the moment the mission was announced me expectations went up when they where on their way the rear guard was way to weak. And it was a trap tho it seems some got trough the question is will it be another trap. Also that one they where fighting with the high speed it might be a strange speculation but somehow i think it's Joshua he might have been declared death the second episode, he could have faked his death to learn Yuuki something. This episode also confirmed that Reina and Stella are mother and daughter, the short flashback by Stella confirmed it. |

| My main issue with this series is that they are deliberately putting Grandiga as the bad guys but made MCs on their side more interesting than Yuki and company. So I cannot root for either side but just because the scriptwriters do not give enough backstory or character progress for the side that deserves it. Still, I like the series and will watch it further. |

| It sounds to me like the squad leader Gail Owens is in this war maybe to pay for the care of some kids ? It is still strange that they picture him so far as a really nice guy and he seems as interesting as Stella but he ... is not even on the anime's poster. We've been trolled :) More hints at Stella's past and whose daughter she might be and for once it looked the fight was more balanced so there were more tension as for the issue. I suspected that the very strong mecha from Soleil's side was driven by one of the Vanquish siblings. Speculation on the next episode's title, will we get an encounter between Yuki and Stella next week ? |
| Some more back story on Stella. She's a good person who is caught in this terrible war. Their squad leader Gail seems like a really nice guy too. Is he the one lifting up a kid in the OP? The single fast machine that they fought in the forest could be piloted by Yuni, since she use the same model as Joshua. |
| God, they were throwing death flags everywhere, was really happy no one of the squad died here. Stella's heartfelt smile is very nice, i hope to see it again soon here. I'm always on edge with this show as of now. Also this squad is super likable to me. |

Everyone on Stella's team seems to be a nice person to some degree, even that arrogant guy Huey - when he told Lily "you can be replaced when you die", near the end of the episode he believes telling someone that increases their chance of survival. Also that old man seems to be sending money to feed a large number of children, probably war orphans. I hope nothing bad happen to anyone. I'm curious to find out who the pilot of the fast Soleil theurgear that did a lot of damage all by itself. |

| Maybe Soleil is very bad in tactics. Two mech guards and one mech sniper to defend a bridge, used for sending reinforcements/supplies and strategic retreat, it’s completely crazy. Even if it’s a trap, that’s a risky one. If it fails, the Kingdom will lose a lot of casualities. Moreover, they have the upper hand thanks to their excellent strategic place and advanced mech technology. And yet, they let the bridge almost unguarded. |

Well, the tactic of the Empire the base of the Kingdom to inflirte didn't get well (to be honest; I'm sonehow happy for it...), and the theory: that Stella is Reina's taughter isn't more theory, but fact - let's hope that the meeting between will be less tragic... At me gains the guess that Gial might be somehow a double-agent: because his actions are very fishy and mysteryous. I having the feel that he'll the Empire in the back fall while he in an heroic death die will... Well, this is just a guess of me, but let's see... |

| Ok, so in this setting both sides don't have any air-powerand more likely they may not have any spy satellites in space , so how the hell was Grandia able to have an overhead map and location of the enemy?????? Ok so Stella's story show that she joined voluntarily, and wasn't drafted. So someone say about a trap, waiting for them Gail team, so I kinda think that there is a trap for them. |

If you watched the map at the beginning of the episode you see : the soleil army has 10 + 5 units and grandliga empire has 16 + 8 units. That's the front line. If soleil put let's say 4 units to defend the bridge, they have only 11 units left against 24 ... they lose on the front despite the advantage of the terrain. What the use of protecting your rear if you're destroyed on the front doing so ? Just a question form a strategist to another strategist ;) Furthermore, they put some people near the river to prevent the passage on the side and prevent an attack from the rear. It's not like they didn't think about it. It just didn't work, even though maybe soleil's commandment got the news before the 2 men got shot, and who knows, maybe that's the reason Grandliga 3 units got so many problems in the woods. I'm not sure, but one unit got completely wiped out, if I understood well. The point is, Soleil doesn't have enough units/men, so whatever they do, they are in numerical inferiority here and despite technical advantage, it's not like one mecha can destroys 20 - 30 enemies. We're not watching a shounen here :) |

| So, it is 99% confirmed, that Stella is Leila's daughter. It would make sense how she was send to foster parents at young age and Leila lost her daughter at around same time. This anime clearly deserves much higher score. |

| It was interesting episode I don't know if it is my favorite overall but it was good!! When the fighting Stella squad do think the mecha look like it really trying to get them, like maybe it character for the other side..maybe the princess?? it just look to real and intense. I am really looking forward to next week when they meet each other, and how it will go down. |

| I'm really curious about that mysterious mecha and its pilot. Some part of me tells me it's Joshua since it's still a bit difficult for me to believe he died in such a sudden way but we will see. Entertaining episode overall. Excluding Gail, Stella and the rest of her squad don't convince me enough to like them. That said, I appreciate they gave more focus on the relationship between the squad members as well as some more insight into Stella's past. |
| Yet again many death flags, this time for Lily, glad that she didn't ended up death unlike Joshua. So far everyone on Stella's squad seems like a nice person to some degree makes it bit hard to decide who to root for, Soleil or the Empire even though the Empire is clearly in the wrong. |
