Loved the movie, BUT! I didn't quite get a good handle on Neppo's motivation and certain plot points. So I have a few questions below I'd love to hear your thoughts on. Thank you!
1. How would finding the Pet Star help make him a god?
2. Why did he want to be a god? Just general hunger for power?
3. Why did he want to combine beings; what made these "perfect beings"; and how did it play into his plan of becoming a god?
4. How did the Space Show play into this plan? Why had he started the show, and why did he decide to end it when he did?
5. Who or what was the robot? Was that King Pet? Or was King Pet the giant face who would eat and combine the beings?
6. What was Mary's motivation? Just evil and power hungry, like Neppo?
7. Apparently Pochi had had a falling out with Neppo and Mary. Any idea as to why they had fallen out, and what they were doing together? Were they all researchers? |
