| As I've said somewhere else, the first episode was fine. It definitely made me want to see more. The characters seem likeable and the VAs are doing a good job. The music is fine, though the op/end songs are rather generic - but, to be fair, most anime openings and endings are generic. CGI aside, it's well animated, and I love this art style. And the CGI itself is serviceable, I guess. It's not noticeably worse than in many other newer series. So far the series certainly doesn't deserve such a weirdly low rating. aLotQuestion_ said: I still hate the attitude of female MC. - doesn't follow order and let her emotion take control, someone like that is going to join as soldier Her not being a soldier aside, that's one of the most typical attitudes of main characters. | I liked the art and 1920s aesthetic, CGI was fine -- pacing was not, holy exposition dump batman. VAs did a good job with what they were given, but plot is looking pretty shaky and Marlya is kind of annoying in a shounen protagonist kind of way. Will allow it the 3-episode test before writing it off though as it has potential. |

| The show concept itself really capture my attention, but looks like the flow of story didn't going well enough. When the fairies showed up, makes me remember of persona but with worsen cg :(. The character design looks promising for the female characters but too bland for male characters, and the soundtrack already good. Sometimes the action started to look exciting but the other times it looks meh, I'm so sorry. Hope the story will get more interesting in the future. Looks like veronica will be my favourite chara in this show, beauty blonde badass who seek for revenge already sounds good to me. |

The whole fight sequence was also a suffering. The main girl look like a pain in the ass, also her childhood friend is the "i hate everyone" type like give me a break. One second there is a flash back no one care, next there is a fight, and in blink of an eye the main girl is using her pokemon and joining some secret organization. Like yeah, it all sound and (sometimes) looks good, and production value is high, but the whole thing seems cheap. But hey, the fanatical shippers of female characters with other female characters are surely already deciding this as their AOTY already. Disappointed. | History passable, unbearable protagonist, sentimental, clumsy and with accidental OP powers. So far, all ultra-generic. I will make the rule of the 3 episodes, because it already gives the sensation of boring... 5/10 |

| I had high expectations judging from the synopsis I read and the trailers I watched but the character designs,their regurgitated personality tropes, the execution, the trope of meeting someone from your past and that person not wanting you to follow them again, blah blah blah. Ugh. Honestly, this episode was pretty disappointing. MC girl, Mariya or something is incredibly generic from her design to her voice, her personality, trying to get Veronica to acknowledge her this is like the same plot of every other shounen whatever genre Anime out there. Her interaction with Veronica has happened with many characters in different series and it was uber disappointing to see it regurgitated here. There is probably only one character in this entire series that looks interesting and that's the guy named Wolf. Even the idiot named Free looks generic as fuck. The OP song is good but the background music doesn't match what's happening in the series. You have this somewhat cyberpunk, fantasy setting and they're playing some hip-hop, fast music with rapping in the background? I'll stick around the see what happens from now on but the MC alone is boring, generic and annoying. |

| - Awesome visuals (x) check - Fitting character design (x) check - Great action (x} check - Good OST (x) check - Interesting power enhancement concept (x) check But all of this is sadly countered by: - Naive protagonist with OP plot-armor (x) check - Turn-based fights (x) check - No consequences of your actions (x) check - Handful of plot-devices (x) check - Questionable decisions (x) check What's more, the world simply doesn't work for me... things they did, the way they acted, there is simply no way they would be able to exist in human society like this and their action weren't even logical in the first place. I would want to like this show as its premise alone seems very interesting but the base they laid out in the first episode is very, very wobbly to begin with. May be good enough for people who tend to overlook those things in favor of action and feelz but for me it's very glaring issue that undermines the rest of the show. I'll give it one more episode just in case it gets better but I don't think the above would change that much. |

| Gosh PA, what went wrong? The opening is the only good part about this anime. CGI is breaking immersion, yet the CGI part is the only part which combat is actually good... The 2D combat camera, position is questionable and kinda awful to say the least. Characters are all unlikable from the get go, especially Maria. She's the type of mc I despise the most... Like geez, your friend already killed dozen of people as terrorist, and all you do is telling people not to chase/hurt her while she kill everyone? Why not try stopping her yourself to avoid more bloodshed? Wtf? Also why is this government guy recruiting this terrorist's friend who not only know and want to help the terrorist, but she outright interfere the mission and cause the fugitive to escape? The production quality is not good either (just because the color frame is good =/= good animation/ production). This anime quality is like 1/10 the quality of Nagi no Asukara. Please PA, if you can't handle combat , don't make a combat oriented show. I really want to like your work, but this first episode is just bad. |

| Great action scenes. And the animation was decent enough. I don't mind the cg as I'm used to watching cg shows like Kemurikusa. However... I don't care for any of the characters here except the friendly animal that licked the hand. Dropped, but leaving it with a MAL score of 7/10. :) |
| Oooohh boi, I'm glad I didn't check out MAL before watching this anime, I just looked at the genre and said, "I think this is a good one, I'll watch it". Otherwise I would have ignore it with that 6.7 rating. WTF. Anyway, the show has lots of potential, very nice first episode, the fight scenes are good, the soundtracks are good, the music and etc. I think it has a great potential. |

| I was excited for this one but I'm really not sure now. Some parts of the animation I found was a bit odd and choppy! I hope we get a full flash back episode later on rather than just flash backs here and there |

| This show really seemed and fancy and interesting looking to the artcover and sypnosis but I really didnt feel much with this first episode, kinda letdown, usually dont have much problem with CGI, but I m just not feeling it for this one. I will let a few episodes air, watch again and then see if this improves or not. |

| It's revealed that there was a war in Europe called unification war, some soldiers, with magic, became fairy soldiers (with supernatural powers). A guy named Lay Down, burned down a town named Suna, two young girls escaped through the burning forest, one of them is named Marlya, the other girl promised revenge. A soldier named Wolfran retired from war. In Fuzan, an auction is taking place, a grown up Marlya is there and met a guy named Free, when a piece of paper was being auctioned, a blond lady appeared and stole it, they both followed her and Marlya recognized her as Veronica (young girl), she escaped. Marlya decided to follow Free (Dorothea) to find her. Veronica delivered the paper to her boss, it's fake. An interesting introductory episode, I'm not sure if that CGI fairies are gonna work, but they tried. Well looking forward for the next episode. As long I could notice, animation is detailed and beautiful, P.A. Works doing their best. |

| I can’t tell if I like this or hate it. The music’s pretty good (I like the Sawano feel), the visuals are decent (especially the character/creature designs) besides the 3D fairies, and I’m already a big fan of fairies and stands. But the writing, man. The exposition is delivered in such a boring way. It’s just all dumped at once in the most awkward, unnatural way. All of the flashbacks expect us to care about characters we literally just met. This episode felt like they tried to cram a second and third episode into the first. Though that’s part of why I have hope for it. If the rest of the show feels like this episode, but was more patient with itself (aka less need for frontloading all the world info), I’m sure I’m going to have fun. Also why are people saying to only watch this ironically? It’s not even that dumb, it’s just because they use the word “fairies.” |
