considering the fact that they removed the monologues, I give this a 8/10.
Its sad because I gave 10/10 to this arc in the manga.

But I still find funny that the people who give 7 or lower to the promised neverland are the same people who give 8 and 9 to shit animes. Envy? I don´t know, theres always that anime that people feel the need to hate even thought they rate worst animes higher

holy....wow. that was an emotional rollercoaster. what a series! i'll definitely be picking up the manga.

i always suspected that ray was isabella's son but the confirmation was mind-boggling to say the least. amazing season and story! i'm so very proud of the kids for escaping, and i can't wait to see what happens next season!

What an amazingly melancholy ending. Happy that they escaped, but the world outside is a dark unknown and they had to leave the little kids behind to hopefully learn to fight for their own freedom when they're older. Plus Isabella, the main antagonist so far, was really a victim herself and was just like they were ~20 years ago... I felt like this deserved a 10/10

What an amazing show. I`m really surprised this show actually made me sympathise with Isabella, not to say what she did wasn`t horrible. I did not expect that Ray was Isabellas biological son, that caught me off guard. Hope they announce season two soon.

This finale exceeded my expectations, it was as emotionnaly impactful as I wanted it to be and it didn't feel as rushed as some previous episodes were. The use of music here was great, especially with Leslie's melody, and I'm happy with how Isabella's character was handled.

Overall it was a good adaptation. Sure on the one hand the rushed episodes took off a lot of the suspense the manga managed to build and a lot of details were skipped. But on the other hand the show compesated in ways that only an anime can, with its use of music and direction. And honestly it was more than enough for me, I'm looking forward to the second season !

Excellent episode. They did almost everything perfectly: from Phil finding out to Isabella’s flashback to the children escaping.

Do I hate the open-ended finale? Absolutely not.
Am I guilty of suspecting Phil? Yes.
Will I my expectations rise for season 2? Yep.

6-year-old Phil with an escape plan to flee with the others and a reunion with Emma (and Norman too?) is what I'll be waiting for.

That was one hell of a ride, and one that I really enjoyed a lot. =)

I did feel some sympathy for Isabella in the end, mainly thanks to the flashback where she got along very well with another kid, Leslie, whose skills with the guitar was excellent. His music transitioned so perfectly with the added instruments that gave his departure scene more impact, along with showing how Isabella became a mother in the first place.

I'm just glad that all of the escaping kids got off the cliff safely and although Isabella arriving just before Emma made her leap was nail-biting, Emma's eyes showed her resolve that made Isabella pretty much helpless in that situation. Still, she does wish them the best of luck as well as their safety. Phil is the only one left behind that knows about the truth and maybe one day, his turn will come if Emma fulfills her promise to come back for the other kids.

My final score will probably be around a 9/10. This show had some solid suspense, very good animation and visuals in general and not only did it have my personal favourite OP song this season, but the soundtrack as a whole was top-notch.

Now the wait begins for season two coming out in 2020. =)

Man this show was an emotional rollercoaster. I never read the manga for this show but this is gonna be a 10/10 for me. This episode also confirmed my suspicion that Ray was Isabella's son.

Amazing series. A proper art oh please don't backfire this time. It balances on both emotional and action sequences, and brings something quite original. Sort of. I can definitely see it eventually evolving into an action-series against demons. Though if that was ever solved, it would be something that sucks demons back to their world once and for all...
Speaking of demons. Besides being almost absolutely overwhelmed by the episode, I could notice that Grandmother has not aged, at all. It supports my own theory that the adults eventually summoned demons that made their lives complacent and "enjoyable", but as a part of a deal with the devil they have to supply demons with fresh... children. Another nail into the whole "adults" thing. The kids will get them. Someday, somewhere.
Oh and hopefully people will start to hate Mom less. Isabella is obviously just another victim, who did play part in making seemingly the biggest rebellion against demons possible.

Not gonna lie it's a fantastic adaptation, even though the Manga was better its because the shock factors work in Manga format a lot better.

I found myself applauding at the end, I just wish this could've been a hit like Attack on Titan was because it really is that good, but at least it was a hit in the Anime community.

9/10 because of some rushed episodes, but the music and voice acting was splendid

This was pretty cool series,
but I'm not really fan of animation in this one,
characters faces looks looks really strange for me.

Some episodes bored me...

I got spoiled about Ray being Isabella's son... like in the middle of series,
So the only surprise I had was when and how it was revealed.

But I like idea,
I wonder what will happen next and I will watch 2nd season.

Ps. Love OP/ED for this series :D

feek kinda unsatisfing. we dont know anything about those demons or the world outside. it really shouldent be only 12 episodes. its not complex enough. its one dimentional

so now they escaped and...? its only the begining for them.

someone said this studio usually dont do second seasons so im depressed. yeah i know there is a manga but im an anime guy.

and so norman died in vain? yes he did. there was no reason for him to go happily into his death.

i didn't see norman dying. So obvious foreshadowing that he didn't die. Maybe he was so big of a genius that he will become a papa to the farms.

Analyze:.

Well to start the plot is very attachment what makes me continue to follow the following episodes. The scenario is so good that I do not have any complaints, the characters appearing and being well worked one by one I thank the direction enough for exposing them of the best possible approach, both heroes, supports, and villains. In the animation in general this impeccable like for example the Norman walking in the corridor and the camera following without change of picture. While the development part was well planned what gave a taste of knowing soon what will be the next mystery and suspense of the house. I think I really enjoyed reading it so I did not want to show it all in the beginning. My final comments, Concluding, Yakusoku no Neverland and a good anime that has many chances of gamhar knowledge in the market, something innovative and well worked.

I have never cried for an anime (and never will) but this final episode certainly had me tearing up, and feeling sort of euphoric.
This final episode really redeemed everything else for me. As a manga reader, I probably won't invest time into watching the 2nd season (maybe seeing how it goes?) as it will just be genuine disappointment.

Going on here can really ruin your final impression :/. I thought it was great, but I also wasn't expecting it to be the finale for the season. I don't get the negativity unless it didnt match the source material, which I havent read. 10/10 from me because I thought the art and direction was really well done, and I probably would have binged all the episodes in one sitting. This was a good anime in my book.

They really nailed the emotions in this finale, the Isabella backstory made me tear up where the manga didn't.

I still think the serie could have become a classic if they didn't remove the inner monologuing. But it was eventualy compensate by the fantastic directing, voice acting and soundtrack. I have yet to read what comes after this part but it sure is a great story.

9/10 for me

Fuck. That was short but beautiful.you don't get many anime that has such a profound effect that you have a good idea of what transpired in each episode, 2020 cant come sooner; I always hate when they humanize the villain in season finales, it makes you feel so sorry for them... then again, I was under the suspicion that she would let them go in the end.
But as for that twist, God dammit, how could they put her own child in the same plant as her. Disgusting. Ray is my favourite character though so, great stuff!

Cant decide; 9/10 or 10/10
Probably a 10

From very begin I hated Isabella and really wanted her to die, but after this episode I just feel so sad for her. Her way of survive is so emotional, right now I really want to know what will happen to Isabella after that she let two high quality kid escape.

I feel so sad that this is the last episode of this season, I hope next season will exist in some few years. But for this season i will give 9/10.

Definitely the best episode of Neverland.

Not sure how to feel about the adaptation overall. The manga is clearly the better version of the story in this case. I'm stuck between a 7 or 8, but i'll give it an 8 for now. Needs some time to incubate in my mind.

Looking forward to season 2.

Damn, they managed to escape through the cliff instead of the bridge, and it was pretty cool, Ray got stunned as i were, and also Fill was left behind knowing everything, and how incredible and smart he is, he knew about everything, i admit i suspected Fill, but i am glad i was wrong! Norman left a great plan for Emma to execute!

Didn't expect to see that backstory about Isabella, it made me sympathise with Isabella and i almost teared apart with her past, and she was adorable when she was young, i didn't expect Ray to be her son, honestly! I am glad we could see Isabella's true feelings about the kids, she wished for her safety outside the farm, and her smile after their scape was priceless. The moment that Isabella tell Fill to dont worry that they espaped with safety was so unespected! We could see she really cares about all childrens!

I am still wondering about Norman, waiting anxious for next season to see if Norman is alive, i hope!

Damn, it was a really enjoyable ride, with a lot of suspanse, very good animation and visuals and her perfect opening that turned one of my favourites openings! I will miss that afraid feel about what will happen next week that Promissed Neverland always letted me!

Amazing Anime, with so many tense moments that made me sit on the edge of my seat throughout the episodes... they always seemed to fly by like they were nothing. Season 2 is already announced before I was able to watch the finale, so hype is real for 2020.

god i love it so much.

the adaption had some flaws, mainly some missing monologue i wished was there but apart from that it was an absolutely fantastic adaption of the first 35~ chapters

To think this adaptation was ONLY 35 chapters. That amazes me to be honest. It really doesn't seem much to me, but perhaps that's cause I am used to overly rushed Anime adaptations... cough Tokyo Ghoul:Re...

I´d dare to say, this and the 1st episode were handled even better than in the manga. I still prefer the manga, but just by a small margin. Great adaptation with some space for improvement. Great OST. I just hope it gets less "jazzy" in the upcoming season (was expeting something more like Kevin Penkin music). I think that this kind of directing could work even better in the upcoming arcs, specially the parts that require more action.

And mama did nothing wr... I mean, Isabella best girl

I guess most studios just don´t risk that much these days. Same happened with My hero academia and S2 and S3 got 2 cour.

If the upcoming season recieves a 2 cour adaptation, it could reach more than 100 chapters.
