| This was an okay conclusion, I guess. I just wished that the evil guy Saotome was more fleshed out at least. He is just a crazy guy and that is too shallow for my taste. I mean, what are his motivations? I get it that he's a twisted guy, but that's just not enough for this kind of caracter. The other characters are all quite simple as well: Kamikishiro is just a good person, the manticore is a "monster", Echoes is an innocent soul from another world. This more or less work out for the anime. It doesn't need to be a character driven show, but when you present such a weird character like Saotome, it creates an expectation for more... |

| Lol that chase/fight scene had terrible animation choreography it was like Echoes and Manticore just flopped around like rag dolls. So this will carry on with other odd manifestations other than Echoes and Manticore next episodes I suppose because there isn't much more story to be told there it seems but hard to tell. I probably should have waited for this series to end to start it. It feels hard to wait a week for each episodes where I may forget important information. |

| It was getting so off-model at times that it started interfering with the experience. Kind of like how lag would interfere with a game. Aside from that, it's just too much of a clusterfuck still. I hope this will get better. |

| Interesting episode overall, I don't reaally feel connected to any of these characters anyway, so when they die I'm just like "k". That fight scene looked like two fidget spinners spinning around each other. Also, Kirima said that Kirishima told her Echoes was an angel...didn't she said alien? Or it was just her trying to fool pigtail girl (sorry don't even know if her name was stated lolololol) (Also, people fighting over anitubers ugh. Go back to their youtube pages or twitters for that D:) |

| And this brings us to the conclusion to the first arc. It’s not too bad so far, I don’t think I’m too confused anymore anyway lol The fighting was kinda weird imo but it was interesting. I thought it was Boogiepop’s job to take care of monsters like manticore, so why didn’t she interfere before things got so out of hand? I’m definitely glad that edgy kid died. He was so annoying lol, of course along with manticore. She was pretty creepy in her final moments. It’s a shame Echoes had to give his life away as well. But at least everything is sorted. For now. |

| So far i really like this series,i like this Monogatari like type of story telling with foreshadowing and telling the story from mutiple perspectives in diffrent episodes... To this episode,the foreshadowing in ep 1 with the dead body of Mantikor is shown here,now i am want to know more of the God and why he send Echoes and what he sends to God about the Humans |

| I am liking this show a lot to be honest. The first two episodes were a joy to rewatch with some prespective and the arc itelf was almost a movie. If the series continues like this I'm sure I will enjoy it. Watching the original anime and reading the novels doesn't seem a bad idea either. And god, did I feel bad for poor Naoko. Her kindness wasn't in vain at least. |
| A guy named Shirou (Kamikishiro's interest) noticed Kamikishiro's disappearance (he talked with Boogiepop), so he asked Niitoki (president of the discipline committee) for help. Saotome joined their search. They ended looking for Kirima. Kirima was looking for Kamikishiro with Echoes. Finally Kirima showed, but tied the three of them, Echoes revised them (looking for Manticore). After that, they were walking through the school when Saotome stucked a poisoned pen on Echoes, Manticore jumped from a building and attacked Echoes, Saotome cut Kirima's throat hurting her to death. Echoes took Kirima and jumped to a building rooftop (he gave life to her), Manticore followed her and they started fighting. Shirou ran. Echoes transformed his body into light and sent himself to his base, after that, Manticore got really mad and tried to attack Niitoki, but before hurting her, Boogiepop appeared, cut her arm and caught her in threads, Shirou appeared again to shoot her an arrow in the head. Kirima survived (thanks to Echoes). Kirima and Niitoki met Miyashita and Takeda outside school. Here is where all the ropes are tied. Unfortunately Kamikishiro is dead, so Shirou is gonna be really disappointed. I don't know what really happened with Echoes, Manticore is now dead, but I thought that the whole story was going to be about that. Is this gonna be an adventure story of Boogiepop and Kirima? Echoes and Manticore were only temporary characters? |

| Rewatching this after a while and well this arc is certainly the worst by a mile especially because it just doesnt work in anime form, jumping back fourth might work in a book, but anime? Not so much. The direction and animation was also the weakest in this arc, the direction was bad mostly because they were adapting straight from the light novel so it just kinda seemed all over the place, the animation on the other was not necessarily bad but more inconsistent thanks to terrible character designs to draw in distance and some questionable animation directors that probably didnt have much time to give their all. Although people saying that the fight animation in this episode was bad very much dont know the work of keiichiro watanabe thats for sure, dont get me wrong its not a perfect scene, the compositing is kinda al over the place, but saying the art is bad considering its Watanabe is just wrong |
| While this was a nice improvement on the first episode, this first arc felt very scatter brained and felt as if it skipped a looot of source material that would have helped make it more impactful and immersive. I hope this feeling doesn't persist throughout the rest of the series otherwise I feel that it's weighted score feels pretty justified so far. |

| I didn't realize until the final scene that this episode was related to the 1st. Boogiepop lied when she said the conflict resolved itself without her involvement. I don't understand the point of this show. It may not be as bad as I expected it to be, but I don't think I will be watching any more. |
