The OSTs are excellent, as expect of Yutaka Yamada. The animation and art -while lacking compared to the manga- are very good nonetheless. There is a lot of 3DCGI, which isn't surprising considering the director's previous works, but it was unnoticeable, especially in 0:15 and 0:31. Overall its looking very good. HYPE!!

Hmm, dunno. I have a feeling i'll become very disappointed to this anime adaptation. Hope at least it won't skip to many good parts of the original source, to say the least.

as i said on the other thread the character design is complex to draw like Attack on Titan so i expect average to bad animation in the long run, heck it even uses a lot of 3DCG from that PV alone just to compensate for the difficult and time consuming character design

Overall I like it. Music sounds great and I love how characters look. Tho CGI looked really unpolished in few scenes.

I always loved Viking related stuff, so you can be sure i will be on to this one! Won't read the manga so that i can have a better experience with the anime. That PV looks awesome as well, CGI doesn't seem bad.

That key visual looks great.

Really hope this gets at least a 2 cour. Solid OST as expected.

Very solid visuals, but I really hope they can keep that level of art and animation to at least some degree in the long-term.

This is in my top 3 anime/manga of all time and I am pretty happy with this PV. They were going to need to use some CGI no matter what and while you can see its CGI it fits well enough. The actual animation and character designs is mostly 2D and outside of the few bigger battles scenes and Longships I doubt they will use it much.

The character designs they are keeping more to how it was early on in the manga the more simple ones but again I understand why. The VA sounded good as well as the music. All I can't wait to see it get adapted and hopefully introduce others to the manga.

I'm thinking of giving the anime a shot. I wasn't very into the manga so, I hope I can follow the story better through the anime version.

The AOTY is soon upon us

So far, everything looks great to me, I hate how nowadays the mere sight of CG is instantly seen as bad by the community, but from what they showed in this PV, it doesn't even look bad

But either way, I have no doubt in Wit's production skills and I for one am glad that one of Titan's CG directors is working on this too

I'm happy with how it's looking. Yeah the CG scenes left a lot to be desired but ehh, I'll take what I can get. The 2D scenes look gorgeous, the music is astounding, and the cinematography looks nice as hell.

To those freaking out about the CGI listen, it's staying in the industry no matter what so complaining about it won't do any good. At the very least the CG is being used on certain elements in the background like the boats and fodder soldiers, it's really not that big of a deal. Especially, when the 2D scenes look impressive.

One can debate about how the character designs are lacking compared to the manga but, one should first learn the purpose of the character designer...their job is to draw simplified designs so they can be more adequate for animation since the more detailed manga designs are near impossible to adapt. So it's normal for anime character designs to be simpler. What boils down is the animation which from the PV looks fine.

I'm personally optimistic about this project. The Inuyashiki director, Banana Fish scriptwriter, AoT studio, and the Tokyo Ghoul composer are more than enough reassurance for me. Again I agree that the CGI could've been better (better yet left out) but it's outweighed by the positives.

the camera effects and character models on the sword fights are 3DCG

and im not complaining about 3DCG in anime in fact i want more anime in 3DCG, some of my favorite anime studios are 3DCG specialist like SANZIGEN and Orange

Looks pretty good, I'm hoping they don't overdo the CGI in the battles like in Kingdom and this could be great. Background CGI is not the biggest deal to me, but the staff does have me a little worried.

Yes, yes, yes!! I love this series and it looks so good animated! It's about time it got an anime! Hope they give us an airing date soon besides just "2019". Plus the music in the trailer is so beautiful and fitting for the series!

I've heard much praise of the manga and while I don't see myself reading it anytime soon this PV looks interesting at the very least, I'll give it a watch.

It's a plus that it's by Wit as well.

I just hope they do it with the exactly content of the manga or make it in a better way like fixing things than the author didn't like, etc.

Filled with terrible 3DCGI, but I was kind of expecting this adaptation to be full 3D so still pleasantly surprised.
