It seems like it ended on Wikipedia (I know Wikipedia is not an absolute truth).
I can't seem to find information on new releases of this wonderful series.

Hyatus.
bla bla bla
The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

Well, she recently published a new book containing several short stories in July 2013,
but after that I think the series is finished. Either that or she is putting it on hiatus again.
Haven't seen enough information to know which.

She posted on her Twitter that she's writing again. This series is not dead yet.

As long as Tokyopop holds the rights to the US publication, there's very little likelihood that it'll be translated though...

There is a guy who did fan translations of this series. He said he'd consider translating any new ones. I think he is a professional translator and his work is legit.

How good are these translations? How do they compare to the official ones (which I'm assuming are from Tokyopop)? Just finished the anime and I may have to read this (as it's the only choice atm) at some point when I get some Youko withdrawal.

Yeah, the Woodsbury translation is good, seemingly accurate and an enjoyable read. I'd recommend to check it out. I think the translation strikes a great balance between which unique terms are translated and which are transliterated. This is very important on stories like this, that have extensive terminology.

The site also links to another translator's page, who's done the side stories missing from Eugene's site. Those, while entirely readable, weren't really enjoyable, at least for me. Too many terms merely transliterated, sentence structure was not altered to make it a good read in English and the language used was generally stilted and uninspired.

I don't know how many novels were published by Tokyopop in the USA but Milan Editions released in french eight novels (some of them divided into two tomes beecause they opted for a very little pocket format), including the original story that was written before the actual series centered on the japanese school girl, I think.
