I think based on Eve's reaction, so long as she remains, hey may not regain those memories. When his love was being realized she refused to crossover and he passed out. She had reverted to her child form but then forcibly returned. an alternate outcome would be that she is a bridge between the two. still, this was almost resolved, and yet again, they may chuck it up to memory loss and the struggle will continue. |

Now they are both back and Ibutski is in shock just like she would have been at the time since was actually her and not Eve that received the kiss and the confession the shock was just a maiden's shock from being kissed buy a guy she likes. Your explanation makes sense but i would like to think that was his current form that just manned up and kissed her after gaining his memories of that time. the problem now, is that EVE did not pass on, she refused to cross over, so that might actually cause him to lose his memories of that past and what he did as a result. Thus resetting the whole ordeal and we're back to square one. That would be a big regression after having progressed to what would actually be the climax of the story. I don't think the author wants to end it just yet by having tarou remember, realizing she a girl, and then realizing his feelings. the only think that would be left is to deal with EVE's feelings since she is, for all practical purposes, sentient, and very much liked by both of them. Neither wants to see her go, and she doesn't want to "die"; this chapter proved that much. |
