| Crazy what love can make a man do! So Osamu will have to accept the fact that he is not loved and is being called by Kianu on top of that. I get that he is not loved but being called by another guy's name is an additional injury to the man, but he loves Kimera no matter what. I would've said it was terrible if I was the deeply romantic type, but because I couldn't have cared about their romance it was alright for me. It was unique and the story was also very shallow but watchable. The animation was good and the music okay. 6/10. |

| Osamu you idiot! You've doomed us all for some androgynous alien ass lol I actually liked this quite abit, I especially liked the first 20 minutes or so. Osamu and the other guy were abit like a buddy cop duo and were fun. Coupled with the mysterious goings on it was good stuff. But the last 25 minutes crammed in a TON of exposition and story and it got a little bit over ambitious given the running time. Though it was still engaging and I followed it well enough. The idea of Demons and Vampires actually being an Alien race was an interesting idea (though not unique by any means). The animation was really nice and I have to say the ADV Films DVD I watched was really nice quality, certainly a cut above most OVAs. Seemed to be source from a really nice master. Soundtrack had some interesting mixes of classical music which was strange but also pretty cool. The English Dub was really great, though I could have done with less of the heavy breathing whenever Kimera was on screen. Yeah overall this was a really solid Horror, Supernatural OVA from the 90s. Exceeded my expectations and something I'm happy to own and would definitely watch again. Reminded me alot of Bio Hunter, which is another favourite. Yoshiaki Kawajiri didn't work on this but definitely something that fans of his works should check out. |
| Opinions on this one seem very split, I liked it a lot personally. What shocks me more is that there are still people watching old dubs and expecting them to be good. Just watch the subs, it's not like they are even hard to find. |

| It's not terrible but the plot is confusing and convoluted. For a while, we don't know what is going on with Kianu, the tentacle alien, Kimera and the scientist than at the end, you have the mummy alien going on a long complicated exposition throwing plot points after plot points. The ending also feel kinda rushed, we don't know what happened to Kianu, Jay or everyone except Osaru and Kimeru. A 5/10 is not great but it's not as bad as I expected it to be and I have seen worse. |

| I liked the story and the art style and the OST somehow, but the execution was poorly made, it could've been better, I liked Jay more than Osamu, that's too bad, the first 10 minutes really give you the idea that the OVA is great but as it continues it gets rushed and bad, I'll give it a 5, it's not that bad though. (btw Ginzu reminds me of the Creeper from Jeepers Creepers)  |

| Alt. title: Osamu's interspecies gay awakening~ Enjoyed all the references to American culture (Gibson/Fender, "Kianu" Reeves, Terminator-like ending scene). Was a fun watch overall - that is, if you like bizarre gory old school sci-fi. Would have worked better as a longer movie or two-part ova. The reviews are pretty harsh. |
