Oh wow, they really can't catch a break. Poor Mai and Sakuta. When a dating scandal rumor like this runs around, it really puts people into pressure. A rumor flies around that Mai is apparently dating someone and she also talks about it in the media.

About time they make Kaede into a more relevant character. I wasn't a fan of hers but it's kinda neat to see her set some goals for herself for a change, like some actual goals. too many about her bro though Seems like an episode that mixes in bits of drama, comedy, and also development. Cool for Kaede. I hope we get more background storytelling about her coming. (since she has no memories?)

Kaede finaly stepped outside but it seems that didn't solve everything tho seeing her enjoy the outside world was nice.
her memory loss is a problem tho and obviously the next thing that needs to be solved.
It's clear that Kaede is the hardest case for the main it's his sister after all.
The brother obsession also seems to be an issue.

So the ending of the last episode was only a bait...

Sakuta shouldn't have written that on the beach, he didn't know what she wanted or how she'd understand it.

They are pushing too much on Kaede's problem. Almost fainting for answering Mai's call was too much. But the rest went well.

Interesting episode that did well expanding upon Kaede's character and her attempts to move forward with her life. To think that Mai is forced to have a press conference due to the romance between her and Sakuta being discovered. The price of being famous i guess. Still Mai handled it pretty well. The insight into what happened to Kaede's bulles was quite intriguing. Sakuta's message though lol. Kaede sure has a lot of desires in her notebook though. The scene where Kaede via Sakuta took the first step out of the house sure was something being both tense and cute as well. Kaede's progress after that sure was impressive. Its nice that Kaede's rapid progress allowed her to enjoy a day at the beach with her brother and Mai and Nadoka. That was quite the revelation in the end though. No memories huh.

Looks like the final arc has arrived.

The Mai-Sakuta problem got solved within the first minute so that's out of the way.

Seeing Kaede go outside and finally getting used to a new environment is definitely nice to see. The ending was quite interesting so I'm pretty excited to see how this concludes.

Glad that they didn't spend much time on this siscon arc, is what I wanted to say. Sure it was a solid episode due to nice directing and the hikikomori topic can be interesting, but the way it was handled here was pretty retarded imo.

At least there's some hope that this arc might get better.

the most epic going outside moment since the potato chip scene from Death Note. doing your everyday chores with dramatic tunes was never so exciting!!
not enough dramatic music, though. if it had something like Interstellar OST then even watching Kaede pick up the phone would bring these weebs to tears smh

It was good. I felt that it was much better than the Nodoka episodes but it still feels very lackluster compared to that incredible first arc and really good arcs with Koga and Futaba.

My arc ranking so far:

1. Mai
2. Koga (she is really endearing as a character, IMO)
3. Kaede (so far!)
4. Nodoka
5. Futaba

Don't get me wrong; I like ALL the arcs, but I just like some more than others. :)

Can we just talk about how Mai's first reaction to her boyfriend arranging to meet his old crush was to calmly send him off and prepare a nice meal for his return? That's like the A+ answer to "How to Keep Your Man 101".

Well, I didn't really liked Kaede until now. Kaede is such a brave girl. I really felt what she was going trough. Yeah, I admit I was crying, because I reconize that fear of going outside. Outside can indeed be scary and/or overwhelming sometimes. :-P

(I'm an introvert, btw.)

That was amazing, the revelation at the end of this one is great. It explains Kaede’s fear even more so than the bullying incident. I always thought they played her off a little extreme, but knowing that the reason she doesn’t leave the house is because the house is the only thing she’s ever known adds so much to her character. To an extent, I think it even excused the weird relationship between her and Sakuta, since Sakuta is also the only person she’d ever known for the better part of a year. This is shaping up to beat Mai’s arc.

This episode proves even more that Mai is clearly the best girl of the show. Her reaction to Sakuta's meeting with Shouko-san is to calmly send him off and says that she will be cooking a meal for him and his little sister when he gets back.

And I'm glad the news regarding Sakuta x Mai have been solved already.

Oh my god, he tried to yell his love for Mai in public again! And that message on the sand! XD XD

The mystery regarding Shouko continues to foreshadow for the upcoming movie...

Time for Kaede's arc! Definitely more interesting than the previous arc. I can totally relate to Kaede when it comes to the fear of going outside since I'm an introvert. But god, when her scars seem to come back after clearing one of her goals... Please let her be all right for the rest of the arc.

Kaede may have quite the brother love obsession but that's to be expected since Sakuta is her only family after the bullying incident. I'm proud that Kaede has set some goals for stepping outside and seeing Sakuta tearing up for Kaede made me feel happy for them.

The picnic date with Sakuta, Kaede, Mai, Nodoka was so sweet. I did not expect Kaede to have no memories of the bullying incident. Though, why do I feel the ending ended a bit abruptly?

Help, I'm hooked into the Fate series (not all) and am obsessed with Shirou x Saber!
Also, forever hoping for a ufotable remake of the Fate route!

Quite possibly the best episode to date if you ask me. No supernatural interference, felt very real and very endearing.

I think this is the first time I've ever seen one of those 'scandal' tropes in anime get handled with such ease and simplicity. I loved every moment of the opening scene and of course Mai. <3

Mai is once again proving why she's the best girlfriend, I absolutely love all of her and Sakuta's interactions, from the part about him going to meet the original Shoko to the all the help she's giving Kaede especially that one little banter about marriage.

Really liked the one scene with Koga, she's wonderful too. <3

On the whole, the Kaede arc is honestly of to a fantastic start, it was very fulfilling to see Kaede try her best at getting over shut-in tendencies.
The entire scene with her attempting to go outside slowly with Sakuta was absolutely beautiful and when Sakuta teared up, I couldn't help but tear up too. So beautiful. :(

The big reveal at the end about Kaede's memories, I wonder how this is gonna get handled and from what I've seen so far, I think I can safely bet on the fact that no matter what they choose to do, it'll be good.

This show is so clean, consistent and enjoyable. No constant pointless drama or bs. The little problems get resolved, characters don't waste time and the arcs pass by smoothly.

I always really focussed on the girls in most anime, but Sakuta is one of my most favorite male leads in a long while. Just him walking up to the window, opens it and yells that he loves Mai, is just gold! Love this guy! no homo...

Kaede has made some goals for herself, eventho most of them involves Sakuta, damn that big brother complex.. Kaede was adorable this episode, after putting some cute clothes on and finally stepping outside again. She's doing her best! The moment Sakuta actually teared up a little, really melted my heart.. He really loves his little sister.

So Sakuta was forced to tell Mai that Kaede had lost her memory...

Ayt this arc is already my #2 next to Mai's, did not expect that bombshell at the end, a little heads up woulda been nice Sakuta.
That being said... Kaede is so freaking adorable!
And after all this do people still doubt Mai being the best waifu in this show!? she is perfect! Sakuta as well, their relationships are hella great!

I can see Kaede has some brother complex but thats to be expected, who the hell do you guys think stayed with her after all the bullying she went through? even their parents left them, its not weird that Kaede loves her bro to this extent.

Fascinating how they make Mai even better with every episode.
For me it is not even the Shoko part, but everything around that.
She handled the whole press stuff as perfect as possible and her interactions with Kaede (including the banter about marriage) and even press conference, starting Kaedes development because of the aura of leadership, this girl is just perfect.

Maybe. Several of the LN readers said Koga's arc was the weakest, but I actually really enjoyed it---and I've been enjoying her continued appearances also.

I hope Nodoka's presence has some narrative purpose now that her arc is done...
