Just an average episode. Nothing special but not particularly bad. Much of the contest was just flashy move showing once again but the action scenes, which started a bit after halfway through, were well-done as usual. Some other nice fights early, too.

Amazing, Combuskin is now a Blaziken.
very cool. now its a full power house pokemon. Wonder how May is going to showcase Blaziken from now on. May Vs Ash final battle. i think May is gana win because she's more into contest than ash and it would make sense.

Finishing the season with a contest is fitting because it was the thing introduced this season. Ash gives a very good show for being his first time and the battle is head to head. Ash attacks the most to a point is seems like May is not paying attention, and it's hard for me to believe their pokemon would get tired in a 5 min. battle but overall it was a good episode
