Welp, this episode focused a lot on Eijun and his narratives. "I'm weak" huh?

Otherwise, slow episode. I think Eijun found his way after all the buildup though but not in the way I had expected. About damn time.

This was so depressing.

The brief insight into the Inashiro players was interesting.

Please Chris-senpai save Eijun from his depressive spiral

Sawamura is really taking it hard :/ He really seemed soulless during class but not so much at the end.

An open rooster does sound interesting yet it just makes it sound that Seido is really changed after losing their third-years.

Seeing Inashiro doing so well :O

Chris-sempai really trusts Sawamura to come back even stronger, it really would be nice to see the day when Sawamura is the ace. Furuya while is nice, but I really find that he lacks in really motivating teammates by getting to know them.

Half of Sawamura's troubles are from his coach, who consistently busts his balls with stupid comments and doesn't bother to explain why he need particular training and then wonders why Eijun can't get his bearings back.

Seeing that #1 on Furuya's back really didn't it well with me. Even though it was obvious it was going to happen I was still hoping Kawakami would get it mainly because, even though I don't necessarily dislike Furuya and if Sawamura eventually becomes ace. It would be kinda sad to see Furuya lose that ace title since he's been working just as hard as Sawamura.

Good episode this week, Hopefully Sawamura bounces back sometime during the next tournament. That is if he makes the roster for it...

Only a weekly episode isn't good enough, especially in a depressive part like this one. Gonna read the manga as well.

Fuck, I was gonna add the manga to my list (provisional) just to keep track of the chapters and then delete the entry since I didn't read it all... anyway, I accidentely deleted the anime entry. Now I don't know the episodes details :(

But I guess I started following weekly since episode 25-30, anyway...

Just a useless remark lol.

By the way, the manga art is niice.

Can't people stop bitching about Sawamura being depressed ?
If he was OK so soon, it will be unrealistic. He need to overcome this bad cap.

Really... this is so heartbreaking...
I can't... this hurt so much.

And next episode Furuya officialy become Ace, f**k -.-

How long Sawamura will be like this?
I know this can bring some good points to story, chara and will be all 'realistic',
but I want again have fun watching this show...

Right now I more pissed than happy.

Why does Sawamura get all the crap. While everyone on the team has their own issues, Sawamura seems to always be the most heavily influenced. >__<

I can't believe this is ending in March. It better conclude properly! I sure as heck do not want Sawamura to still be dealing with Yips and no chance of recovery when this ends. >:(

This show will be the first sports anime that has a bad ending if it seriously will be finished in March (at least from my point of view).

I still hope that the new season will be announced. :(

Good episode although my baby has the yips. He will pull through which is why hes my fav. It's just hard to see him go through this. I thought Chris was going to help him but guess not. Either way he will get his shit together!

Gambare, Eijun !

I know right :/ Although heartbreaking and painful to watch, I still find this really interesting and it adds to story as we continue to see Eijun's struggles and development. I suppose not everyone will like it, especially maybe if they don't like Eijun as much as I do. I cried for so many chapters straight at this point in the manga. It's hard to see Eijun not acting as his normal cheerful self, but it looks like he hasn't given up. He just needs time to reflect and think before he plans to move forward.

Everyone else is practicing hard too! Kanemaru has hope to become a starter :) I also liked Mei and Itsuki's interaction. Itsuki is no Harada yet, but I can see the chemistry between him and Mei already ^^

You guys, it's pointless to read the manga. The scanlations have stopped for some reason and it only covers until the end of the first game of the fall tournament and then skips around 100 chapters with some random chapters in between.

Actually volume 30 was recently updated so it covers the 2nd match as well. Although I read summaries of the gap between the chapters its good to see the manga slowly being updated once again xD

Anyways can't wait for the next episode... still irritated its going to end soon bleh... terrible timing...

I spent the whole episode rolling around going "Noooooooooo!"

I think Sawamura would have a much easier time getting over his problem if the coach wasn't so stoic and cold. Kataoka never really explains what he's thinking or why he does certain things. A bit of reassurance/guidance (or just being less of an asshole) would probably go a long way towards helping.

That being said, I'm so so glad this anime isn't going the way of Kuroko no Basket or Prince of Tennis, where the main characters have no real flaws/challenges and are basically power/skill fantasies for the audience. It's the same reason I liked Haikyuu and Oofuri.

I hope Eijun gets over the yips soon, though. There aren't many episodes left T__T

YES!
I don't really get how this work in sports,
but shouldn't they give Sawanura some psychological support than leave him alone to let him deal with his problem?
He is just a little immature kid, 1 year high school student... and he have psychological issue and everyone are aware of that, yet nobody really try to help him?
Isn't such moments they have psychologist to help players in such moments?
Also they are in school, so for me is strange that they don't have one.

INDEED! Part of me wants Eijun to join Yakushi cause they are so supportive towards each other when they screw up/do well lol. And the coach in Yakushi is greaaaat xD

We all know Eijun is a badass and will overcome it but shaizah aside from Chris-senpai... and a teeeeny tiny bit of miyuki Eijun doesn't really have anyone to go to for help Dx

I don't really get all the comments bitching about Sawamura getting depressed? OF COURSE he'd get depressed. He literally sacrificed everything he had to go to Tokyo to be a pitcher, and now he can't pitch. To him it's like his life just ended. >_>

I understand Sawamura's pain. A pitcher is a very important role on the team and Seido always had a good reputation. I've also had that kind of role in concert band back in high school and there were times when I couldn't meet peoples' expectations or failed big time. Especially when there's a Furuya against you.

If any of you have watched Major, you can see that head injury dead balls are serious business.

Nothing to do with that. It's just a psychological issue caused by his mistake in the tournament. Whether the coach had told him that or not it wouldn't have made a difference.
