| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Interesting, a chess game played outdoors like that...quite unique if you ask me. Definitely one of the more thrilling episodes so far. It tested Lupin's mentality to a good degree. It's too bad the chess battle didn't end too well for Lupin's opponent. Getting shot by a sniper hurts. |

| This episode was great, that Sniper Vs Sniper duel was amazing, we don't get to see that kind of action often, Jigen is the best. I also loved Lupin's unwavering trust on him, he was composed throughout the ordeal even though he knew there was a sniper out there for his head, because he knew his partner wasn't going to fail. He also provided first aid, and humored the old man by relinquishing the chess match. We don't get to know the reasons that man had for wanting to watch the "young Lupin" die right in front of him, but it doesn't matter, Jigen and Mirage were the focus here, and I must say that I was impressed that it turned out it was her daugther in the end. I guess Jigen really isn't that young anymore, somehow I never understood why Lupin called him an old man sometimes, I just assumed they had around the same age, but well, that only makes me like him even more. lol |

| This is one badass episode! The sound effects were ragingly chilling! it was perfect! Jigen's the best marksman you can have! Any info what sniper rifle both has? and that explosive rounds info? (i'll check reddit for that info) Looks like next episode would be a better episode since Zenigata's gonna ba a criminal teaming-up with Lupin's group! 5/5. |

| Honestly, I thought Mirage was a previous character from Part IV. If I remember correctly, Jigen also had a partner. I can't quite remember, but I do know they showed an episode of both of them being a mercenary and going their own ways. Mirage's daughter could have surpass her mother. That's why Jigen had to stop her. She either could have been a merciless killer or someone who would regret what she did and turn basically what her mother did. Poor old guy getting shot on the knee. That shit hurts especially ricocheting. Also the name Mirage, kinda feels like she came from Metal Gear Solid series. Sniper Wolf vs Mirage. Nice ring to it! So we got Goemon, Fujiko, Jigen and next episode will be about Zenigatta. |

| I also recalled Jigen needing his hat to aim accurately. It was mentioned in just one episode in the 70s, and he's proved he's a good marksman without it, but I prefer to think this one non-canon, because it was such a good explanation for his attire. |
