I started reading Zaregoto because I found out that the Danganronpa's creator took inspiration in Zaregoto to make the Danganronpa games, so I started reading Zaregoto and I clearly noticed the similarities. I loved the whole first volume, and after I finished reading it I went with high expectations to read the second volume thinking that the author would keep the same formula with things like someone being murdered in an isolated group, and then the rest reuniting in a table to discuss who did it, how did it, and why did it. But now I'm halfway through the second volume, and it looks like a different series now, since it changed completely the formula of the storytelling.
Can someone who already read the whole series, without spoiling anything besides it, please tell me if among the rest of the 9 volumes there's still a situation like the one in the first volume? I'm still planning to keep reading anyways, but I just want to know beforehand what I should expect to read.

This reply is probably too late but yeah the second volume goes into more of a mystery thriller. I've also read that later into the series it's more action and fighting based than it is mystery.
