The atmosphere of this episode still felt mysterious imo. It's like Ai entered a different world where characters aren't what they seem. For instance, Mato has a cat with her and doesn't seem to recognize Ai.

Got to see a bit of her past with Peter. It's kinda interesting as their relationship felt close during the time they spend together.

The blend between reality and fantasy is pretty intriguing.

I'm fitting to take back what I said about enjoying the supernatural side last episode. Two episodes in a row is too much. I want lesbians diving and having fun.

Well another fantasy playing itself out which was nice to watch tho Ane-san is hit hard by her love which is nice to see.
The question is what will she do next.

It's definitely a bit strange to watch an Amanchu episode that's all fantasy but nonetheless I really liked it.

That dramatic Ai fall made me laugh. xD

High School Mato-chan is <3

The only thing I'm still not clear on is if Peter is/was actually a real person. Does some form of Peter exist in the real world cause I would assume that's how the world was created. Maybe they explained it but I think I might've missed it or not understood it clearly.

The final scene where Ai wakes up and the rest of the diving club members are totally dumbstruck on what she's talking about was a little funny too.

Well, let's hope we can save Peter.

Ai hasn't forgot about Peter huh. But Ai sure ended up quite the flooded world though. But running into a younger Mato sensei though sure was unexpected. Hmm the backstory of Peter was pretty interesting. So Ai is within Peters dreamworld. Taking advantage of the dream to fly with brooms was a creative idea. Having the origin shrine inside the ship was an interesting idea. The young Mato at least managed to convey the words she couldn't say last time to Peter. Looks like Ai is determined to go back and see Peter one last time though. A strange but quite amusing episode that allowed us to see how Mato was when she was younger and how she interacted with Peter as well as how he originated.

Even Ai agree that everything about this arc is completely bullshit.

But it is sundelly magic/supernatural and "she is the author of Aria", so everything is suppose to makes sense, everything is justified, and no questions shoud be asked.

I wonder why we couldn't have some Fairy Godmother at the start of the story to make Teko life more easier and build her a magical diving suit for the moments where she struggled? Oh, that's right, because nobody would buy such cheap and clichê bull crap, and it would throw any possible real development of the character in the garbage. (...)

Not sure how I felt about this episode. It was sort of enjoyable on its own, but the thing is I'm not watching Amanchu for the urban fantasy/mystery parts. I'm watching Amanchu because I want to see girls diving. It's weird how the first season had 0 supernatural episodes whereas season two has had 2.5 episodes like that.

It's not that it's bad... it's just not what I expected from this show. I hope the next episode takes place within consensus-reality, and if possible contains diving in some form.

From the beginning, this whole season has felt like the writer/director was getting bored with their own show. It feels incoherent, retreads ground covered in season one, adds a new character specifically so there can be an unnecessary rival for Pikari's affection, leaves Teko in the back of the diving group with no one supervising her while training to dive deeper solely so there can be an excuse for her to be in danger, etc. Then, they have dream episodes... now it's taking a multi-episode supernatural turn? The first season was one of my favorite shows of 2016 and I'm seriously considering dropping it now.

Blame the author of the original manga. She gone full retard ever since knowing that yuri fans have been shipping her main characters in this. It's only gonna get worst from here on out, and that's why I'm not watching it personally, just following other's assessment in the discussion thread.

The story of ghost baby Peter in Neverland continues. Still feels odd for this series, but I did like the callback to Teko's broom flying skills. I still miss Flying Witch. :(

The imaginery was nice but ffs - is this bullshit crapt ever going to end? Honestly, they are destroying both Mato and Ai characters with this nonsense.

By itself, Peter's story is not that bad actually (although the developement is really forced) but it feels like completely different anime.
The sufferirng never ends... I want my diving SoL series back, don't care about this fantsy!

I did like the last one ok(still not close to the highs of S1), but this just lost my interest. Maybe cos it's even less grounded than the last one. I mean, you can still see the talent in the individual scenes, but well, you know, the whole setting feels invalid.

I'll wait for the next four and then think about this again, but by this point I guess it's clear that the S2 material is far less compelling than S1.

Contrary to (apparently) many, I actually like Peter's arc. I already explained my reasons on the previous episode discussion. I'll recommend again that those who don't like it have one more episode of patience, since it closes this arc and in episode 10 they will be finished with fantasy elements (assuming they are adapting only original material) and Teko's development from now on is interesting.
I noticed that the school uniform was different in the past. Specially the middle school one. Who had the idea of changing it into this kind of flower-shaped piece? :S Whoever was, I hope he/she was fired.

He's the baby that was shown when Mato-sensei was explaining his backstory back at the train station. We'll know more about him in next episode, which will conclude this arc.

Actually, Assessor Tea's real name is Aria XD He's the school principal's cat, he told the girls in the first season.

A lot of people seem to have the attitude that "It's by Amano Kozue, that's just how she does things" sorry to break it to you, but this an example of a great writer getting completely lost in her own story. She noticed a lot of people were shipping Teko x Pikari, and suddenly they go from pretty normal friends to full on love-interests. She remembered that people, me included, loved the supernatural parts of Aria and just decided to throw in a couple of random arcs and quirks here and there. Don't get me wrong, the supernatural parts are yet again really well written, but she has clearly failed to understand what made this kind of arcs work so well in Aria.

Sure, the Peter Pan arc on it's own has a grat mood, is well written, and has interesting character development, but in the context of the series, it simply just doesn't make sense. It's like throwing in a couple of chapters from Attack on Titan in Kimi ni Todoke and say "Oh, I really like the mood. The genre shift is really interesting".

I will still continue to watch the anime as it seems like this season will stop around where I dropped the manga, but I really hope people won't just write this of as "creativity" or "a bad adaptation".

Did not think they'd continue with this very mysterious and mystical setting, but I absolutely love it!

Really a great feeling like I had with Aria and I must say that I totally loved that there as well.

That ending was really sad but also very lovely, really looking forwards to see what's next.

Great episode but then Aria is #2 on my list of all time favorite anime. Yes-I know we're talking about Amanchu-Advance-it's just super hard not to make comparisons between the 2 series.

Wow... honestly, I thought Amanchu! would be of the last series in using the pathetic "female character stumbles and guy sees her underwear" trope. Quite disappointed by this aspect but since it's just me being nitpicking, let's move on.

Regarding the episode... uh... I didn't like it. It's like when you try to explain the "simplest" of concepts, this being "escapism", and yet you use the most complex of analogies at disposal to portray it. Ai being infatuated with Peter felt really forced and though Peter's story is interesting to some extent, its combination with the realistic context of the series makes things feel completely jarring.

Sad to say this but the Iyashikei vibe this series had until ep. 4 is now gone.
