I wish they didn't drag this arc like this...

Sally (that creepy glasses girl obssessed with Asta) is also back this episode. The way she fought Asta and bit him this episode is creepy as fuck. Another cliffhanger again.

With the appearance of Sally things have already gotten way more interesting.

Sally, the crazy scientist is back, and she still acts the same. Weird character I must say.

This arc isn't that good. What the hell was that decidion of Gauge. Is he really a Magic Knight though. That sister have some cool powers.

This arc is really dragging and I'm not a fan of it one bit. Another pretty boring episode with a weird psycho chick scientist as a generic villain this time.

Some people told me this story is gonna get a lot better and I'm really waiting for that now. Need something to save this show from staying a boring dragging mess.

Wow, Sally looks really hot in this episode, 8/10 would bang her if she weren't a crazy psycho.

Five minutes of filler and low quality animation. It reminded me of the lower quality stuff we got back in the Pain days of Naruto Shippuden.

Those people who complain about the quality of this episode should stop criticizing it. For the episode clearly had a pretty good budget.
On the content, different from the previous one, in that Baro really reminded me of the manga Baro. The design of the previous episode was pretty ugly. The action scenes were fairly fluid, but it was bizarre Asta jumping from side to side like the spider man.

More Importantly, Sally is back! :D
Damn, people need to be more patient. There's a reason why'd Gauche act like that, and it will be explained in the next episode.

Yes, like Naruto and One Piece. Black Clover's only episode 32. It's not that long running yet. It's just how it is for this series.

Tbh Naruto's animation wasn't really amazing until climax of zabuza arc. Black Clover even with the shit schedule and lack of staff have been churning out some well animated scenes since it started. Besides things will get better now since some new people joined the staff recently. Even the director said he'll be able to animate some scenes soon.

The Pain fight was fucking well animated, one of the best IMO, yes the design was inconsistent but the, idk if I can say this way, "fluidity" (Well I can´t really translate the right word but I think you got my point) was there. And we saw in this episode some of that.

This was a decent episode, but I'd wish that they'd stop with the useless filler at the start of episodes. The entire Sekke scene felt unnecessary and just dragged the episode on for like 5 minutes. The next few episodes should be good though since HE'S about to show up soon. From what I've seen so far from some of the action scenes, I have hope for it.

7/10 episode (would've been high if there was no filler).

Yeah it's the right word. This episode had lots of animated scenes that flowed really well. Last time we got something similar was in episode 17 of BC.

Gintama is a long running series and it's animation is always good. The animators for Gintama actually care for the series and make it look good. Wish Black Clover had a studio that cared enough to give it proper animators, but it is what it is and we'll just have to bare with this level of animation for now(though it's much better than what we've had in the past from this anime).

No. You watched another episode then, because it did not have a bad part like the last one. And not only in trait quality, but the episode was entirely fluid.

Indeed. I think people always think that good design = good animation, yes you can have both but that needs time, money and good animators, so when the design is a bit deformed they assume that is bad animation even if you have such a fluid battle like the Fate/Apocrypha battles, etc..

Sure the Pain fight had fluid animation but the art was atrocious so it looked ugly as all Hell. You have to find the right balance of art & animation but that fight just went to one total extreme.

I don't know if this arc is being stretched out or not but it's kinda long; however, this episode was fun and was a little more intense than last week.
The animation seemed better though which made the action look great so it was more enjoyable than it should've been... It'd have been better to see the entire squad in action. Hopefully next week.

Man they're really dragging out this arc. With regards to whether or not this arc is being stretched (@tambi33), yes it most definitely has been so far. We've been in this arc for 5 episodes and only 6 chapters have been adapted so far.

As for this episode, I don't have much to say. I just want the good stuff to happen soon so we can move to the next arc, since that's where BC starts improving in my opinion (@animejas).
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

Uh, it started over 10 years ago, not really fair to compare them lol, but even so the first 10 episodes weren't bad animation wise. What I was reffering to was Gintama from 2011 to 2018, it's animation is very consistent and the art is awesome. Gintama is the perfect example of how to adapt a good source material with great music and consistent animation. Black Clover has a solid sound track, just needs consistent animation to back it up(and less filler scenes that drag the episode out).

Gauche still being a douche. XD
Well, since he's been given a lot of screentime in this arc, I expect a good character development from him once this arc ends.

Seriously! I want this arc to be over.
