| I know that FLCL Alternative doesn't 'technically' air until September, and FLCL Progressive airs in June. And yes I know its ironic that the episode Adult Swim decided to air on April Fools Day was for Alternative since that is 3 months later than the closer one. My question is - will MAL set this as a 'Currently Airing' status early since this episode aired? (I mean, they do for other specials that air early - major example this season was Mahou Shoujo Ore airing first two episodes two weeks early). But it's also kind of a conundrum because then we'll have something set as 'Currently Airing' for 6 months before the next episode airs. Anyone have any ideas on this / speculation of what MAL will do? Mod's - if you see this thread, your input is highly valued here. |

I think they should mark it as Airing becuase April fools or not it will go down the books that the first episode aired on April 1st, 2018 and that some people watched it on that day. Then they could adjust it in its appropriate season like they eventually did for Violet Evergarden which first started airing months before schedule. Not marking Alternative as Airing would just be dumb and inconsistent from team MAL's part if you ask me. |

Even though I'm cringing thinking about having something in my "Watching" list that long with no possible activity, I feel a bit like my list is incomplete without it. |

| Also it may have fallen under the radar for then because at the time they were dealing with trying to take down their own April Fool’s joke, which took longer than they thought it would. Either that or because a lot of people complained that Ancient Magus and VE were set as airing for so long, so they decided to stop the practice. |

Just throw it in your "On hold" until fall then. This may sound weird but I use my "On Hold" as an "up-next" listing. lol None of the shows I have assigned to On-Hold are actually on hold. Its just my short list of shows that I want to see sooner than the nearly 700 in my PTW. |
