I wonder if they didn't put enough money and people into it. |

Me just happy something serious like this instead of things like Koihime Musous even if funny and ecchi. Better honor for history to serious things like this anime. |

| This was quite disappointing. I love the concept of this series, but the execution was sorely lacking. The pacing felt sloppy, the directing was unimpressive, and the violence was more amusing than brutal. And wow did that OP suck. Unless I hear good things about the next episode I will not be continuing this series. |
| Awesome. I loved the animation, and also found the soundtrack enjoyable. Really liked the over the top-fights, and the plot could be good, will have to wait and see. Over all a very positive first impression, one of the best of the season. |

| Glad I finally was able to watch this, I'm definitely liking it so far. I think this could develop to be really awesome. It gives me such a vibe of Twelve Kingdoms. ^^ |

| Kesenai kept the japanese version of the names. This bothered me to no end since I'm used to the chinese versions. |
| Didn't really like the animation/style. Action was alright, but everything else was lacking. Dropped. |
| Finally, subs! As expected from MadHouse, the production values are pretty high. The animation is well done and I like the art style. The fact that they kept the japanese names kind of disturbed me, but I guess I can bare with it. It's also nice to see a show where Cao Cao is the protagonist, I'm curious as to how this will turn out. Right now I'd describe this show as Romance of the Three Kingdoms with Heavy Metal. And it rocks. :D |
| ok i personally thought this was horrible and all over the place, there's just so many bad things about it. thing is i was laughing so hard at a lot of it cause of how stupid it was. maybey it's just me but this is an anime i would classify as so bad its funny. or atleast from what i saw on this first episode. I'm gonna keep watching for the gore and laughs but i may drop if it stays crap. i gotta say though the way he killed the guy at the start was awesome. |

| It started off well but pacing went a little overboard afterwards. OP and ED are teh lulz. |

| Hmmm, well, for once my negative opinons don't seem to be in the minority. MadHouse seems to be failing of late by trying to use their great production value to either up terrible stories (Chaos;Head) or assuage the fact that they blow their load way too early in the shows' run (Casshern and Rideback). I was hoping this could be a fresh start, but so far it doesn't look like it. I think I'll give it a couple more episodes to put itself together, but this maybe a dropper for me. Not to mention that KSN (who took forever to do Blade of the Immortal) is subbing it, making sure that I'll probably forget about this rather quickly. |

| LunarAnime put out the first episode, they will probably be the best subs available from the looks of it. Enjoyable episode, looking forward to the next one. |

| It was a good start.I'm expecting a lot from this anime.I hope for a serious historical portrait.The things that "turned me off" was the ridiculously fight when Kyo Cho was involved.He could grab the horse with his bare hands that easily?Yeah right.Plus that "amazing" storm coincidence(!) when Sou Sou had that fight with the Bandits.It also seemed like a spell.I thought there wouldn't be anything supernatural involved? Anyway i'll keep watching...^^ |

| Ok just saw first episode. I agree that OP and ED are terrible but the anime wasn't that bad as some make it here to be. I haven't really formed a solid opinion from one episode only. So i would keep watching and see. By the way. LOL!! at Freeza voice telling the story. I wonder how no else haven't comment on that. Maybe not many people saw the Japanese version of Dragonball Z. |
cyruz said: That kid had some solid shoes, jumping on the sword like that. seriously btw, what's so manly about getting the crap beat out of you instead of fighting back? good kick to the groin would have been both easy and effective. assuming that Aman wasn't stupid, he was carrying a weapon and could have followed up with something lethal right then and there. he would have had to have dropped the box, but that would have caused less damage to it than his eventual solution and wouldn't have risked his life or that of his bodyguard to anywhere near the same degree. not a fan of graphic violence, especially when it looks like it'll be overused in order to mask lazy writing. so many plot holes, I've already lost track of them. anyone else get Godzilla flashbacks from the intro? main is obviously supposed to be a hero, but he comes across as more of an arrogant, egocentric ass to me. think I might have liked this more if I was born in Asia somewhere, definitely feeling a culture gap with some of this stuff. |

| Expected utter crap, but it's above that for now. OP wasn't bad, until the screamin' or whatever came on. o.O It's not drawing me in though, and I'm not really liking Cao Cao... eh, we'll see how this goes. |

Knowledge of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms version helps immensely. |

| Cao Cao's intro wasn't the best but it improved so much until the end of the 1st episode :P Also.. Xu Chu is an absolute UNIT |
