Welcome Note Greetings youngling, Over the past few months, the famed hunters of Rezvali have searched the lands for potential members. During that time they have witnessed your deeds and thus your name has been suggested as one of the potentials. Should you choose to join our guild, we will help lay out your path for success by training you in classes tailored to your fighting style. Our training will of course keep in mind the location you hail from. Whether you come from IronHaven, where the men and women are quite robust or Wheldrake, where folks are quite enhanced in magical capabilities. Perhaps even from Dalhurst, a land known for the quick and agile, we assure you we will meet your training needs. There are several classes you can select from. Three melee, two ranged, one mixed and two magic based. All open to anyone, but best if your background is kept in mind before selecting one. Let’s start with the Knight. The first of the melee classes, preferred by those who like to get up close and personal with the enemy, relying on greatsword or sword and shield combat styles. Up next is the Lancer, for those who feel that a little extra breathing room in melee combat isn’t a bad idea. They keep a fair distance as they stab and jab at enemies using their polearms, spears and so on. Finishing up the melee classes, is the one group that won’t hesitate to gut you with their daggers. Using quick attacks is the specialty of the Rogues. The ranged classes begin with the Marksman, the ones who see life down the barrel of a gun and can only power through. The Rangers is a class for the ones who prefer a simpler time, when the bow and arrow was the best tool around. Though it really is still a preferred ranged weapon for stealthy attacks. Remember that mixed class that was mentioned? Well… that one is a special class for those crazy enough to play with explosives! That’s right, want to make things go boom, I suggest the Grenadier class. If you can’t make it explode, you’re always equipped with a heavy weapon to beat the enemy to death. And lastly, we have our magic based classes. For those whom prefer to use their mind instead of their muscles! We first have the Clerics who have a wide variety of magic, including healing magic to better help their allies. Meanwhile, the Warlock is the all offense, no bars held magic wielder who focuses all their magic abilities into attacking and annihilating their foes. That’s it for the training we offer and should you make it and strive for more, do know this… Your name will surely go down in history as one of the greatest Hunters who has ever lived. Vast riches will be thrown at your feet, and never will you have to waste your time doing mundane tasks ever again. Adventure awaits! Are you brave enough to take on this once in a lifetime opportunity? Follow the instructions below to begin your quest to become a Hunter or Huntress of Rezvali! Important Info, Read! Ages must be at or over 18 please. If you're going to make a character pass 30, please have a good story to explain how they got to that age without being killed yet. Seriously mean that. Characters will start in Kareth. Due to the way the roleplay group format will be, please make sure to post in the correct thread version, depending on group your character is assigned. As story progresses, all groups will have their own individual threads. Only shared threads will be the ones used to place characters in when a person requires a temporary long leave from rp. Classes currently are as followed. (Classes are weapon based. There's tons of weapon types that fall under each class so you still have quite a bit of freedom to choose a weapon type. Characters are allowed to have a combination of classes. Primary class and secondary. Knight - A melee class that relies mainly on sword and shield combat or great swords combat. Lancer - A melee class that relies mainly on spears, halberds and other two handed pole arms. Rogue - A melee class that relies mainly on the use of short swords, daggers and other light weaponry. Marksman - A ranged class that relies on guns for combat. Gunners have access to powerful long range weapons but suffer from reload speed. (No modern guns. Highest gun level is around early 1920s our world. Ask for info.) Ranger - A ranged class that relies on the classic bow and arrow. Also has access to crossbows, though that leads to a reduced reloading time. Grenadier - A mixed class. Grenadiers are able to use mid range explosives but also have access to melee weapons of the heavy variety. (e.g maces, war hammers, etc). Cleric - A magic class that relies on magic meant to heal others. Do not be fooled. Clerics can also use magic offensively, making them a sort of combat medic of a magical variety. Warlock - A magic class that purely uses magic to attack foes. Their magic packs a bigger punch than clerics but they cannot use healing magic at all. Extra note : If you ever need suggestions or help with choosing a weapon for a class, feel free to ask. I have a plethora of books about all sorts of weapons of all class types, so I can give you ideas. The purpose of classes is to personalize your character a bit in terms of what they do or how they fight, etc. by means of showing what combat form they prefer to use. If at any time you wish to change class, you can, but please edit in character bio for the change to reflect correctly. Character Sheet format : Group Assignation : (This will be which group or groups this character is with in RP) Name : Age : Picture : Primary Class : Secondary Class : Weapon : (if magic you can use a magic staff or item image to personalize your character) Bio : (Please refrain from using royalty families, in regards to "related to King or Queen or Ruler of said land, or being Prince or Princess or Heir to said throne. This puts you at an unfair advantage in regards to using "family influence" to get things done a particular way. And no immortal/demi god/goddess stuff. That's auto OP stuff there. Includes "children" of a god/goddess/any immortal being) |

Group assignation : Name : Varius Teryl Age : 24 Picture : Armor Primary Class : Lancer Secondary Class : Marksman Weapon : Glaive Bio : Varius was born into an average family in a small village within the northern regions of the Realm of Tervalek. Varius had a normal upbringing, he was mainly raised by his mother at home while his father would typically out of the house doing field work in the country side. There wasn’t anything exciting about his life really. Wake up, help mother out around the house, await for father to arrive home, all which he enjoyed. Varius had a few friends here and there, of which he would hang out with and take trips to the nearby town which was full of more things to do than in his village. When he wasn’t with his friends he would typically just keep to himself at home. At the age of 10, Varius was sent to the local academy in the town nearby. Here he would study a few things as well as being trained in basic military combat, as was tradition in most academies in Tervalek. Things were fairly fun overall, he made new friends, went on more adventures and was really living a good life so far. It wasn’t until the year he turned 17 that things began to change. In 1926, war had commenced. After years of relative peace the three major powers of the world had finally reached a boiling point, and war had finally been declared. When the draft came, Varius’s father was recruited into the army, sent north to protect the borders against any attacks from the Velfareth Empire. The once peaceful days turned into preparation for the war ahead. His last year at the academy was spent training in more serious forms of combat, drilling exercises and strategic lessons. In 1927, at the age of 18, Varius was the next in his village along with his childhood friends to be recruited into the army. Unlike his father, Varius was sent south to join up with the royal armada, which was on its way to fend off an enemy invasion in the southern islands. His first taste of battle did not occur till the winter of 1929 when Varius was 20, and it was an experience he would not forget anytime soon. Being part of an offensive strike to retake a fort that had been conquered by the enemy army, Varius was forced to partake on an amphibian assault. The landing wasn’t the part that was bad, on the contrary it was the last time he would know a sense of peace. The attack on the fort was when reality came crashing down on Varius. The first wave of attack was met with an iron resistance from the defenders. Of the four battalions that assaulted the fort that day, only half the one that Varius was a part of returned alive. The next three days were met with nearly the same results, and the only reason that victory was claimed was due to the defenders running out of supplies on the fourth day and openly surrendering. From here, Varius would be sent to another location, and spent the final days of the year traveling down to the lands of the Maderiv Kingdom. For the next two years, his military journey would put Varius in several battles that tested his mettle and his skills to survive. In 1932, Varius finally received orders to return home. Having served enough time to be given temporary leave and take a break from the front lines. It was a huge relief that he had been waiting for ever since that week in 1929. His journey back home was a long one, taking a full year just to get back to the village he had left behind. Upon arrival, he was reunited with his mother and his father, whom had been relieved of duty for good due to a leg injury he sustained in combat. Varius took this time to try and find some sort of peace in the war torn world he now lived in, but peace was far from ever returning. When news of some new enemy from the west appeared in the tabloids, Varius suspected that some new country must have come from beyond the uncharted lands. At first he questioned why anyone would come across said regions just to join a never ending war, till he finally found out what this new enemy was. An unexpected invasion from the sea caught the realm of Tervalek off guard. Creatures of unknown origin crawled out from the sea itself, quickly decimating all the villages by the coast line, before heading further inland. The village that Varius lived in was soon under threat and was forced to evacuate out of fear of seeing the same fate of the previous villages. Being a soldier, Varius was called up once again to fight, this time to defend his homeland from these new things that had been killing everyone without mercy. The final months of 1933 were bleak. Although all the nations had stopped fighting each other and joined forces to repel this invasion of creatures from the west, victory was not as great as they had wanted. Out of the 5,000 soldier that was stationed in a fortified town west of Wheldrake, where Varius was currently at with his parents, only a mere 1,800 remained. Reports from across the realm revealed similar situations, with the death toll stacking higher and higher with each new report. Entire towns and villages had been wiped off the map. It was like the end of days had befallen the entire world, and yet here Varius still stood, alive somehow. There was still creatures roaming around, but with the bulk of their numbers gone, the threat of annihilation was gone for now. At the start of 1934, Varius was chosen along with a handful of his comrades from the army to be sent westward to a location that had been constructed by all three nations. According to what he was told, him along with a handful of others from the remaining towns and cities were being sent to join some new guild of sorts. One that specialized in the hunting of the remaining creatures they had fought. Varius was chosen due to his experience in actual combat, both against the creatures and humans alike. Despite his experience, Varius was no amazing hero, he just considered himself lucky by the end of all the turmoil. His skill with the lance though, apparently had impressed his commander, hence the reason he was picked as a candidate. Receiving a letter of welcoming from the guild itself, Varius would now set out on a new journey, to join up with this so called Order of Rezvali and see what new battles he would have to face. |

Group assignation : Name : Sakura megami Age : 18 Picture : Can make wings appear and disappear at will Primary Class : Cleric Secondary Class : Marksman Weapon : The Staff in her picture, and 2 pistols Bio : Sakura is a super energetic and outgoing person. She is Cheerful all the time and can be found most of the times with a smile on her face. She has a talent for making people happy and tries her best to do so. She is clumsy, dense and can sometimes be seen as a total klutz, however she is really smart and isn’t someone you can take on lightly. If she sets her mind on doing something, she will go out of her way to do it. She makes friends easily and tends to rely on them a lot. Overall she is just cheerful, honest, innocent and loyal. Sakura comes from a family of military personal. Her father and grandfather were military captains. Sakura’s father wanted a boy. He was heavily disappointed when he found out it was a girl. For one reason or another, Sakura’s parents were not able to conceive more children after Sakura’s birth. This caused her father to treat her like a boy. He would dress her up as a boy and make her do heavy training. Training would be random and could include almost about anything. From climbing tall mountains to running laps around the city. Sakura’s mother didn’t like the fact that her little girl was dressing up like a boy so she complained about it and used what little money they had to buy her cute outfits. Her parents would constantly argue on the matter until they one day reached a truce. They agreed to train her but that she could dress as a girl or however she liked. Sakura’s personality was heavily shaped by her mother. Her mother was the type of person to bring smiles to peoples faces in moments of war and chaos. Her mother was the ray in her life and many others. Even in the saddest moments, her mother would always bring a smile to her face. She is very girly and bubbly just like her mom. Sakura discovered her powers when she was 16. Her mother fell off a flight of stairs and was heavily wounded and bleeding. While having her mother in her arms, she was crying her heart out at the scene. The only thing that stopped her crying was the heavy glow coming from her hands. Within a matter of seconds, her mother was completely healed. Her mother was surprised but had always known that sakura was special. After that she trained to learn and develop her healing powers but up to this day, she has not been able to heal a huge wound or a heavily sick person. She can only heal small wounds. This made her realize that she still has a long way to go. With the training from her dad and her own training to develop her powers, Sakura developed the skill of flight. She can fly for short periods of time. She had beautiful golden wings that she can make appear and disappear at will. |

Group Assignation : Name : Amethyr, the Amethyst demon Age : 29 Picture : Primary Class : Witch (Warlock) Secondary Class : Knight Weapon : A great sword, as seen in the pic Bio : Amethyr's early life wasn't all that special. In fact, she was one of the kinds of people that no one would bat an eye to when they saw her, preferring to ignore her type. The only ones that really paid attention to her were her masters or the overseer of the slaves of the noble family that she fell under. At that time, she didn't have a name, merely a number, having been born into her 'occupation'. She belonged to the noble family of Ingkar, living somewhere outside of Wheldrake, overseeing a multitude of farms around them that fell within their land. All was fine and well until, when most guards were out protecting the crops from being stolen as they were brought off to the market, a group of bandits attacked. As the remaining guards and bandits got locked in battle, a few of them slipped past and started to murder some of the slaves, eventually arriving at Amethyr after they had just beheaded a slave in front of her that tried to defend himself with a knife, which had flung by her when deflected. Amethyr tried to run, but quickly had her legs kicked out from under her, crawling backwards away from the incoming two bandits, crying and yelling, one of her hands up to shield her from....well, not much. That was, until it suddenly gathered up in a dark purple aura, sending a dark sort of energy ball at one of the bandits, blowing them away, surprising both her and the other bandit, while some voice inside of her called to kill the other one. It was then that she realized her hand had reached the knife she had been getting closer to, grabbing it quickly after which it trembled as magic got imbued into it with both her hands, lunging herself forward and drilling the now sharp knife into the bandits chest, killing him almost instantly as the dark magic filled him from within. After that, Amethyr got recruited for the nobles guards, training with different styles of weapons, but having most aptitude with the great sword. As such, she trained with that from then. It was also then that Amethyr got her name from the noble family, after the color of her magic. She rose the ranks of the guards quite quickly as her physical skills were helped with the magic she imbued into her weaponry, cause the once grey steel armor and swords to turn purple with more uses. Although she chooses to send her magic into her weapons as fortification and extra magical damage and defense, she is still capable of using her magic in other ways from that, but she chooses not to tell nor show anyone, having trained them in secret, and thus merely showing everyone that her sword is her best ability. Amethyr soon had become head of the noble guards at the age of 20, and fought to protect the family and their possessions from enemy threats. Not really because she wanted to, but because she had nothing else otherwise and found that people who had the powers to protect others should use them to protect others. When the dark creatures came to attack, the noble area was quickly turned into a closed off fort, defending against these creatures for as long as they could before they were fended off, for now at least, the noble residence and it's near vicinity having become a fortress before it had become too late, ensuring it's survival for at least a little longer, while many other places weren't quite as lucky. When a letter came that invited her into the order based on her powers and skill she had shown, Amethyr took leave from the families place, explaining them that she had to fight for the world if she had the power to. Extra info about Amethyr! She got the nickname Amethyst Demon from some of the bandits that attacked after she had joined the guard, based on the color she gave off and how she dealt with them swifter than most of the other guards. This nickname spread quite fast, making her more known as well. As she took a liking to the nickname, she added two horns to her outfit. These also function as blades if needed. |

Group Assignation : B Name : Kaden Maarku Age : 18 Picture : Primary Class : Grenadier Secondary Class : Warlock Weapon : and canisters and grenades of various gases. Bio : Kaden's youngest years were spent with his mother. She wasn't the most or least caring woman, giving the boy a degree of independence from his youth, but she certainly did have the time for him. With no job of her own, she was often left to tend to the house and to take care of him. Kaden was close to his mother, but in a way it made him all the more drawn to his father. His father, Cadan, wasn't around all that often when Kaden was a boy, as he was busy in his efforts to work his way to a position of influence in Tervalek, but Kaden and his mother's lives seemed to revolve around him. The family moved to Wheldrake when he was six for his father's work. His mother would always try to get ahold of him, but would be left with Kaden instead, and yet he was the one in charge whenever he was around, even when Kaden's mother knew him so much better. It was odd, fascinating to the young boy. His father must be really smart, and he was said to be very strong as well. Then came the war. What little time Kaden spent with his father vanished when the war came. His father was doing very important work, and Kaden was left in a world full of pro-war propaganda at the impressionable age of eleven. The other nations were the enemy, they were wrong. His nation was proud, strong, right. With each victory the nation roared with cheers, and each loss meant fear, anxiety. The enemies were cheaters, using unfair weaponry and slaughtering the people of his Realm. His father certainly seemed to agree with all this, and Kaden knew his father must be very smart. Finally, Kaden got the chance he had always wanted to garder praise from his father. Expecting further war, and with so few soldiers remaining, Cadan had been actively encouraging an early recruitment systems for the boys of Wheldrake, with training beginning as young as fifteen. Kaden learned and practiced on his own until he was old enough to sign up, but unlike almost all the soldiers of Tervalek, Kaden was not particularly gifted with magic. Tervalek was the land of magic, the land currently losing the war due to the technology of the other nations, the cheaters who relied on tools. Kaden's failure to master the national pride of his people began to reflect on his father, who had become quite a big name in the nation. Cadan was frustrated by this genetic failure. His magic was superb, so why not his son's? An ambitious man, Cadan would not let this stop him. Rather than relying heavily on technology, or on the strongest mages of Wheldrake, Cadan began to work on a project with the few scientists and a few of the magic experts willing to work on such blasphemy: a combination of magic and technology. The body shielding harnesses were a resounding success, finally countering the Maderiv machine guns and giving their soldiers the edge they needed. Cadan would never forget this personal success, even as the massive bloodshed of the war began to wear down the countries. When the truce was finally called, Cadan knew this would not be the end. He knew Tervalek would eventually come out on top, and that the other nations were still their enemies. His position was not good for meetings with the other nations, so Cadan was often left behind. He used this time to train his son further, and to come up with new ways to make every man of Tervalek, even those with little magic, into a veritable threat, using his son as a tester for his inventions and ideas. Kaden was estatic to be considered vital to his father's plans, to his realm's success, and he continued to help as much as he could. When the Order of Rezvali was established, Kaden's father told him that all the new military technologies would likely be established there, and that it was very important they have someone on the inside. Naturally, Kaden wanted to be this important person. Using the gear developed for him and his personal training, Kaden began to hunt beasts in an attempt to be noticed, with his father pulling strings and even setting up scenarios where Kaden would be noticed. Finally, the invitation arrived. |

Group Assignation: A(?) Name: Leon Kreigg Age: 24 Picture: Primary Class: Knight Secondary Class: Cleric Weapon:
Bio: Leon's oldest memory is from when he first picked up his weapons. His grandfather taught him many things, the most memorable was the reason behind Leon's name. Apparently, when Leon was born, he made a noise similar to a baby lion's growl. Instead of crying. Which was pretty cool to him. Obviously, that was all a lie. The true meaning behind Leon's name was his old family name, which was "Lionel". His grandfather also taught him how to wield a sword, and pick up his first shield. His father died as a hunter, and his mother detested the idea that her son would one day grow up like that. It was obvious, even to a child, that she was trying to hide it. His grandfather would always tell him stories of older hunters, and the war before. As a veteran, his grandfather knew a lot of details. Eventually I got tired of writing this bio, so I'll add more details lateras Leon grew older, his grandfather grew sicker, finally dying of old age. Days became weeks, weeks became months, months became years. Every day, Leon would practice as if his grandfather was still there. Much to his mother's disapproval. As years went by, he received a letter which called upon him to visit his grandmother. When he got there, he found his grandmother also on death's door, with a final message to him. She gave him another letter, which was from his grandfather. The letter mentioned how proud his grandfather was of him, how much he loved both Leon and Leon's mother, and that Leon shouldn't hate his mother for disliking hunters. On the back of the letter, it showed a map of their usual training place, with an arrow that lead somewhere close to it. He hugged his grandmother for one last time, waiting to see what the letter's map had to show him until after the final goodbyes were said. When the time came, Leon took his trusty sword with him, and went towards the location marked on the map. A secret door.. it lead him to an armory which seemed not to have been used for a long time. Yet.. everything seemed functioning. Nothing was rusty. Someone was maintaining the equipment, but never used it. And, as if on cue, the letter with the map disintegrated itself into fire, showing the first use of magic that wasn't healing Leon would see. He took this time to look around a bit, finding armor, a shield, and a sword. He could find an orb floating around, filled with magical energy. A soft touch was enough to fill him with memories.. memories of.. his father. He picked up arms, following in the footsteps of his father, and walked out of the place.. it was time he finished what his ancestors started. |

Group Assignation: B/C Name: Anna Carina Age: 23 Picture: Primary Class: Marksman Secondary Class: Rogue Weapon:
Bio: Anna was born in Contigo, a small town located near the western Unknown Regions of the Kingdom of Maderiv. From an early age, Anna was very sickly, remaining bedridden for the first 6 years of her life. However, the small population size of Contigo meant that it was a very tight-knit community, and Anna had no trouble finding people to talk to during that time. The only indication that this small oasis town was part of the Kingdom of Maderiv was the small garrison of 15 soldiers stationed there. News of international matters took a long time to reach Contigo thanks to its remote location. Therefore, it wasn't until late 1927 that they found out about the war that had started between the three nations. These news came in the form of the Kingdom's airships flying over the skies of Contigo. For a long time, the town had remained of little interest to the kingdom. Enough that it was not even listed in any official documents. But now that a war had broken out, Maderiv found a purpose for Contigo: A place to train recruits. Most of Contigo's civilians were relocated to the major cities, and those who were found to be able-bodied were taken as conscripts. Anna was among those who remained. Hundreds of years before the founding of Contigo, the area surrounding it was but a battleground where many of the desert's native tribes battled over water and other limited resources. One of the tribes, the Loqa, eventually tapped into the massive aquifer that lay beneath the present location of the town of Contigo. This gave them much power and influence, as the many of the other tribes practically begged to become assimilated with the Loqa for the sake of an easy source of water. Soon the Loqa held complete control over the region, with the few remaining tribes that refused to join falling prey to the desert or the Loqa warriors. Over the years the Loqa transitioned from a tribe to a proper, if relatively small, civilization. Contigo was founded, and began to trade with other remote villages they had contacted. The Loqa would go through many trials throughout the years, with the latest (occurring around 1803) having brought down its population drastically. The small villages surrounding Contigo, once populated by Loqa, were slowly swallowed by the desert sands. The survivors stripped themselves of the Loqa name. Whether this was done in reverence of the people lost or due to the guilt of surviving, one may never know. Contigo's discovery by the Maderiv Kingdom was quite accidental. Ever seeking to expand their vast network of railroads, they stumbled upon what they initially thought to be a mirage of the desert. Contigo became the kingdom's last addition in the west, their goal of expanding the now rusted railroad into the Unknown Regions a forgotten ambition. This was met with minor, if futile, resistance from the people of Contigo. However, due to the location of Contigo, the influence of the Maderiv on the town was relatively minor. At most, they were forced to adapt the common language of the kingdom. The prospect of seeing places they had only heard of spurred some of the more younger, intrepid people in the town to travel to the major cities of the kingdom and even beyond, taking with them word of a small oasis in the western deserts of Maderiv. These rumors would occasionally reach the ears of a person tired of life in the cities, or someone just looking for peace. While most would abandon their attempt at reaching it, those who succeeded would find their wish. Whether peace or quiet, both were to be found in Contigo. This was particularly common among people of the northern countries. Settling down, some northerners would have offspring with the town natives, giving birth to children named "stranger-spawn". These children (who Anna is a part of) tended to bear the lighter skin of their northern parents, which the older townspeople of Contigo, stuck in memories of a time when Contigo was without what they saw as an outsider infestation, stigmatized these children and their parents. But being a minority, their voices were quickly drowned out, and soon faded from memory. Being largely self-sufficient, this small oasis remained the idyllic desert gem its inhabitants were glad to live in. But the war that began between the three nations would at its end, turn this desert paradise into a hollow bone to be picked by the desert. Short Parts of Anna's Life, from the Start of the 7-Year War to the Founding of the Order of Rezvali Late 1927: With Contigo being converted by the Kingdom of Maderiv into a training ground, Anna, along with the other townspeople conscripted by the Kingdom of Maderiv were quickly put in training. The machine guns that the kingdom would use to drive back Tervalek roared for days during these early times of the war. A shot rang loud, and a steel target replied in kind with its own resounding clang. Anna pulled the lever of the new breech loading rifle she was being trained to use, a casing as hot as the desert escaping into the ground. Wiping her brow, she turned to look at the instructor, awaiting his assessment. "A fine series of shots. I see potential in you as a sharpshooter. What say you to that?" Anna was about to reply in the affirmative when the loud roar of the Maderiv's newly developed machine guns drowned out her desire to speak. Instead she merely gave the instructor a nod. "Very well then. 10 more shots!" Mid 1928: Having completed her training, Anna experiences her first taste of real war in one of Tarvalek's colonial islands at the ripe age of 18. While used to the hot climate of the desert, the island's humid climate was something else entirely to Anna. It also did not help that at the moment she was in a skirmish against Tervalek forces. The sound of guns going off, screams of dying soldiers, and the trees of this tropical island bending and snapping under the stress of battle were enough to make Anna cower at the foot of a hill, trying to plug her overstimulated ears from the sounds of war. Of course, this did nothing for her eyes, which saw a Maderiv soldier run past her in flames, victim to a Tervalek warlock. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw some shrubbery shudder, and several Tervalek soldiers, melee weapons in hand, shouted and rushed at her. She screamed, an act that brought the attention of her fellow soldiers, who turned to face the new threat. A Tervalek soldier was almost upon her, and in an act of desperation, she raised her rifle and fired blindly, closing her eyes and praying for what could be her final moment in this life. Surprisingly, she felt no pain, and opening her eyes, found the soldier she had fired at dead on the ground along with his companions, an expression of astonishment on his face. Her breath ragged from the experience, she reloaded her rifle with shaking hands, failing to notice a growing wet stain on her pants. Late 1930: The increasingly bloody advancements of the war quickly harden Anna into a fine soldier. In a surprising turn of events, she is sent on leave. Anna takes this opportunity to visit her parent, who were relocated to Dalhurst. Finding herself under the strong embrace of her father, Anna could do nothing but let the reunion with her family sink in. She was surprised to learn that she was to be on leave for a short while. Perhaps the Kingdom of Maderiv did not want to risk losing an experienced soldier like Anna during such a critical moment. Regardless, she was intent on taking the opportunity to catch up on time lost with her family. At least, as soon as her father stopped smothering her with hug that could break a stone pillar into bits. "Your mother and I have been worried ever since we were relocated. We are glad no harm has befallen you, Anna." She looked at her father and her mother with teary eyes and a smile that was on the verge of breaking. "A member of the Carina family would not fall so easily, after all." she replied. Her small quip earned her a smile from her parents, which allowed her to regain her composure. Afterwards they spend many days talking. Of the war. Of the times before the war, when all they cared about was of Contigo and their life there. Along with the talking came activities between parent and child that were a long time coming. During all this, the knowledge that this respite was temporary, and that soon she would have to carry the burdens of war again coiled lightly in Anna's heart. Early-Mid 1931: The Kingdom of Maderiv took of its depleted army and taking its best sharpshooters, formed the 1st Special Reconnaissance Company. As the armies of the world had all suffered great losses, Maderiv formed the 1st SRC with the purpose of having a group of highly skilled soldiers that could provide detailed information on enemy activities while also inflicting harm through quick hit-and-run tactics and other forms of combat. Anna was added to this group. The thunderstorm was a blessing. Anna was currently overlooking an enemy camp of the Velfareth Empire from a line of thick trees. Maderiv had managed to gain a small foothold on Empire soil, however their advance was being stopped by the solid defense Velfareth had prepared. As a member of the new 1st Special Reconnaissance Company, Anna and her fellow soldiers had been assigned with disrupting various camps. They had settled on a hit-and-run. The roaring thunder and heavy rain had perfectly concealed their approach, and the 1st SRC was in position to attack. Anna raised her rifle and with practiced focus, drew a bead on a nearby soldier. An officer by the looks of it. She received a signal from her allies nearby. 1. 2. 3. The crack of several rifles firing was swallowed by the thunder, and the 1st SRC stole away. Early 1932: During a battle, Anna experiences an encounter with the newest weapon to grace the battlefield: War Mechs. The cliffs overlooking a valley proved to be of great use for the 1st SRC's purpose of providing support in a battle between Maderiv and Tervalek. Waiting out the Tervalek warrior's magical shields was simply a matter of patience for Anna. It would only protect them for so long, and with her vantage point, there was nowhere to hide without fleeing from the battle. However, the tide of battle was turned when a metallic colossus entered the valley. Of course, Anna had heard enough rumors of how the latest arms race involved machines of war. And it seems in this battle, Tervalek had beaten them to the punch. The mech wasted no time in raising its weapon against the cliff the 1st SRC was in, and shooting. Anna was left with no time to react as the rock beneath her feet practically turned to dust, and she fell to the valley below. Anna was only able to recall small bits of what happened afterwards. A pain on the back of her head. Her body being dragged away from the battle by some ally. And most of all, the steam-filled groans of the metallic beast that had conquered the Maderiv on that day. Mid 1933: Having suffered great losses with the introduction of the mechs, the Kingdom of Maderiv lost confidence in the 1st Special Reconnaissance Company. Moved to Contigo, they were put to train the few recruits they had at the time. However, rumors of the creatures that had been rampaging throughout the lands turn real. Pandemonium was the only word that could describe the situation. To Anna, it was truly a tragedy that her last time in Contigo would be filled with the bloodshed of her fellow soldiers dying. Soldiers running in panic. Shots being fired. The rumors they had all heard materialized themselves on that cold desert night. Anna took aim at one of the creatures, which had pounced a nearby recruit, and was tearing into him. However, it proved to be faster than her, and she abandoned the idea. Instead she fled with the rest of the survivors. Most were on vehicles, of which one she managed to catch a ride on. The few unlucky ones were on foot, being chased by the dark creatures. The rest of that night was a haze. Although through what could only be described as divine providence, she and some of her fellow soldiers managed to reach one of the major cities of Maderiv. Unbeknownst to them, the creatures had long abandoned their chase, choosing to instead feast on the many bodies they had mauled back in Contigo. 1934: Anna Carina joins The Order of Rezvali |

Ok Arc For the saber or sabre Whatever ya wanna spell it like Specifically list infantry saber as the type of melee weapon and it will be good Reasoning for this Infantry sabers were lighter and a bit shorter than regular sabers which were used mainly by cavalry since they were heavier and had a longer reach. As for the pic Ehm Eh -shrugs- If you wanna replace it with the image of an infantry saber go ahead Not gonna nitpick that part much As long as the listed name is specified as the infantry saber type. Other than that, you're good. |

Group Assignation : B Name : Matt Oliver Age : 22 Picture : Primary Class : Rogue Secondary Class : Ranger Weapon : A Dagger and a Long Bow Bio : Matt happened to be raised by a common thief and a hunter who did their best to keep that common thief in line. He was born in Ironhaven before the war so his family was mostly peaceful. His mother often caused trouble which made him like trouble since his mother seemed to be having fun....making trouble. His father often caught his mother before she did anything that was unforgivable so he had a sense of common sense and responsibility as well. Receiving the best of both world. He wasn't taught how to hunt animals like his father wanted. Once they realized that war was coming they made sure their son would be able to protect himself. So they taught him how to. His mother often drilled him on close combat situations, pushing his agility and flexibility to high levels. She may have taught him how ti pick pocket a bit too... His Dad on the other hand wanted to make sure he wouldn't be in danger in the first place so he taught his son how to use a long bow. Thanks to his mom's training, he was able to pull the string back a very small amount at the start. His father began training his finger and upper body strength until he could use a long bow. Then he had to work on accuracy and learn the way the wind worked until he finally was able to properly. Then war came, his father had no choice but to go, otherwise they would have to go into hiding. With their father gone, maybe as a sign of missing her husband, his mother started going back to her old ways of thievery. Knowing that it wasn't any good, Matt joined his mother in her crimes in order to ensure that she didn't do anything that would have her end up in trouble. He realized that she was like a robin hood. She stole from rich people and gave to the poor when they needed it most. At one instance, they were set up and trapped by a rich man. IN order to not have them killed, he would be sent to war and she would have to reside in his home as a maid. They didn't have much of a choice but to agree to it, otherwise they'd just die and his father would return home to no family at all. For this reason the boy grew up in the war. At his age he wasn't put on the front lines but he did come as a representative for the rich man. They tried to treat him harshly but nothing they did came even close to the punishment his mother had put him through. He breezed through the little annoying chores they tasked him with until they were sick of seeing his face and sent him to the front lines still acting like a serving boy however. The boy thought he'd meet his father only to realize he was not there. Thinking the worse, he steeled himself to endure the sadness in his heart and went on about his days hoping that his father was somewhere around and that he just hadn't seen him yet. Days turned into week and week tuned into months to years. He grew old enough to fight on the front line. He made it through the hard times mainly because he specialized in using the bow as well. It saved him from being cut down and allowed him to retreat first if things looked bad. More time passed, the dark creatures rose and the war paused. He went back home only to find that his father had actually got his mom from the rich man and they were waiting for him at home. A year pass and the nations united to make the order. Not wanting his father to feel the need to go along, he decided to go instead and become a hunter. |
