| Perfect episode in my opinion. All Sakura Cards turned into transparent. I wonder who is the person appearing in Sakura's dream. The new key and staff looks gorgeous. It's nice to see the new set of cards. The animation did change and it didn't make me disappointed. I am really glad they brought back our childhood anime from 20 years ago. |
| That nostalgia. Really enjoyed the first episode, its introduction to the plot. The characters definitely still feel the same, but the visuals are a bit too shiny. Sure it's modern, but I think it could be toned down a little. Also the sakura petals, I think they overdid it :P Doesn't really matter that much to me in the end though, the modern visuals didn't make me enjoy the episode any less. That Sakamoto Maaya OP A+ The ED was so well animated as well ;_; I can see the love being put into this series. Can't wait for next episode and for the story to unfold <3 |

| Such a strong premiere! My childhood is back and better than ever. I'm such an emotional mess right now because nostalgia is hitting me like a truck. Great animation, fantastic opening, same VAs (yes!), same great storytelling, and the same light hearted anime I know and love. I cannot wait for the next episode. I'm just so happy this show is back, because I remember watching the 2nd movie and being so disappointed about it. Now I'm just going to pretend I never watched it and carry on with my life and this sequel, haha. |

| I loooved the original so I was very excited when the notification for the first episode came! I love how vibrant everything is, the story looks very interesting, the characters are all so cute and I'm really looking forward to the next episodes ^^ Though... I might have been ruined by Madoka a bit because I from time to time felt a bit anxious that something horrible will come (which I really don't wish for - I could use something happy and lighthearted at the beginning of a new year).（´－｀）ノ |

| In tears watching this... Cardcaptor Sakura is my childhood. Overall I thought it was a great episode. When Tomoyo came out from behind the tree with her recorder I died, lol. The animation for the episode itself looks so clear compared the original. You can really tell they took their time on making this. Excited for what is to come. |

Bruuuh, I was a grade school student--specifically 1st grade--when I was watching the first Cardcaptor Sakura, and now I'm working and watching another Cardcaptor Sakura anime. Oh god the feels. I can no longer recall what happened in the previous anime, so it'll be great if someone will help me remember. Haha. I honestly love the new look of the characters. I prefer than the old character design. Haha. Really missed this anime, glad they maintained the transition music. Gaaaaah. 4/5. P.S. Has it always that tacky when there's Shaoran x Sakura scene? Ohmygod. Haha. P.P.S. Bruuuh, one of the main reasons I'm watching this is for more Touya x Yukito scenes. Kyaaaaaaaa! |

| Really good start, managed to capture perfectly everything from the original with a nice modern touch. Actually I didn't expect we will get introduced so quickly to the new treat. I like the pacing, the dream scenes were cool and that intro was just gold. XD Seems like Yuki's present started everything, even its design is similar to the "ghost". I wonder if he really did gift that. |

 I'm really triggered by Yue's chara design... Where did his charisma go!! Overall it felt very nostalgic and very nice, the animation is very smooth and bright! I also really like that they kept the old OST, I nearly cried every time I recognized one. Also missed Yamazaki's random facts! |

| Loved the episode. About the opening song, something weird happens in the music after the logo appears, when sakura is with her umbrella. Is that intentional? Am I the only one who noticed that? |
| My childhood is back baby!!! The anime that made me start watching anime is here and boy oh boy it makes me feel like a kid again, I can’t believe the sequel i wanted is real after 20 years of fantasizing about the future of these characters, the old music combined with new pieces, the art, the atmosphere, same old video game obsessed Kero, typical camera freak Tomoyo and most of all, lovey dovey Sakura/Shaoran, man I can’t wait for next episode. |

| that was so so nostalgic, i finished the complete series 3 years ago (since i always missed the last ep on TV). i have to get use to the voices but it was so good. liked the OP but a little bit more the ED. (the OST gave me chills!) 5/5 time to see the new costumes! |

| After decades, we finally have a new season. This brings me so much nostalgia. Can't believe this magical girl anime have made a huge part of my childhood. I even have the op and ed theme on my phone haha. Though I must say, back then, I was pretty traumatized by the gay-ish and pedophilic aspect of the show.. actually even now. Like that student-teacher relationship between a 10-year-old and a teacher in his 30s.. yeah pretty fucked up for a "kids show". I can already hear the sirens lol. Well glad Sakura and Syaoran finally reunited. They were one of the few ships I had as a kid (the other two were EdwardxWinry from 1st fma and sousuke and kaname from fullmetal panic). |

| So, I finally decided to watch the ova and then go for the first ep wich means I've watched 50 minutes of CCS and I spent this time crying ansd sweating and complaining and right now I'm not in my best state of mind but let's go. So, they are following the old anime? Why have the ova then, I mean, I loved it and it made me cry but I don't get it. Also some things changed from the manga, not a problem to me, I guess CCS anime will always want to be it's own thing. My children are so cringy, but I love them so much, my face hurts from smiling for too long. I already complained about the smartphone thing in the manga, so yeah, I'll let it slide this time. All in all I'm just glad I decided to watch this today, it brightened my day, it warmed my heart, it's my AOTY, fuck the rest. |

| I haven't watched the prequel, but I don't think it's that hard to understand the events prior. It established past friendships/relationships in this episode pretty well that even I could understand. I don't think you really need to watch the prequel, but it's only the first episode. We'll see. |

| This was an absolutely beautiful return to the series, it honestly felt like an HD episode from the original show! Every minute of it brought a warm nostalgic feeling to my heart, especially when Sakura and Shaoran shared their special moments together...and when your friendly neighborhood stalker Daidoji totally stole them XD Then there was also Yue's sexy voice, Sakura's trademark scream, Shaoran's gullibility and- (rambles on for another two decades)....it's honestly a great first episode for a faithful sequel, it was totally worth the long...LONG wait ^_^ So...on another note, how about that Hooded Figure actually being a more experienced Sakura from an alternate universe, who came to give young Kinomoto some more training? I mean we have Clow pin-pointing events to help convert the cards into Sakura cards so...wynaut?  |

| Finally after waiting all night and all Sunday morining, I watched (on Crunchyroll) this episode. its wierd to hear the voices in japanese (I always listen to the latin spanish dub of the characters). Basically Shaoran is back, Sakura has a new power and Tomoyo is the same as always. |

| When Sakura meets Shaoran, they insert OP 3's OST.... Aaaah, Nostalgia! Glad they let Sakamoto Maaya sing the the OP, and the ED was meh tbh. |
| I've been so hyped for this! I loved seeing everyone on screen again. I am sort of wondering if this is taking elements of the manga, put applying it to the anime's universe. I say this because we had the PV where they did the manga's ending, but here, they showed the anime's ending in regards to Sakura giving her bear away. I'm ok either way since Sakura is wonderful regardless, but it just has me curious! Super excited to see this story unfold!! x |

| I am very okay with this set up. What I'm gathering is that this robed figure has erased the power of the Sakura Cards in order to fill them up again with a power he could call his own. It looked like he was trying to steal the key from Sakura in the second dream, but she woke up before he could get it, so now he's sending his powers at her for her to seal away with the intent of taking them all for himself afterwards. Which - for the record - isn't exactly a good plan. But for Cardcaptors Sakura, it's par for the course and I'm okay with this. I wasn't sure if I was really going to stick through with watching this, but I've surprised myself with how much of the major events I remember from the original series, and this was quite enjoyable, so I'm seeing this puppy through! |

| So much nostalgia in this episode! It did a good job re-introducing the characters and setting up the story. The development of Sakura and Shaoran is something I look forward to, and also the new clear cards. I 100% thought the card was going to be windy, but to my pleasant surprise it was gale. Excited to see what this series has in store! |

| <3 Once Kero Chan's face popped up, I felt a burst of nostalgia. =) It's good to be back. Love how they incorporated parts of the first OP to the new one and they still do the same animation with the cut scenes. Things that felt new were the upgraded phones and use of e-mail. Can't wait for the next episode! My only complaint about this anime is its art style; the characters' face are more round and childish. This is no biggie though, I'm just glad it's back! |
