| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So Anne is finally off to Queen's, and a new phase of life has begun for her (which looks like the last phase for the show). Deep down, I just don't feel like finishing this. I wish there were more episodes. The book seems to have a lot of sequels, but it seems Takahata just stuck with the first book in the series. Man, finishing this is going to suck big time... |

| Quite a heartrending episode. The culmination of Anne's growth and time at Green Gables was really felt, especially since I've been watching this on and off for a few years myself. It's incredibly moving to think how Anne's time there has not only given her a hopeful future, but also offered Matthew & Marilla a once in a lifetime opportunity to have the family life they missed out on in their old age. |

| I'm pretty sure the weather is so hot today that I'm sweating buckets. The show itself is very chill and soothing to watch with occasional little drama but I can tell the episodes are getting heavier. I think that's the hardest part of growing up and leaving your happy childhood life and your hometown behind. Watching this show just reminds me that I never grow up at all since I'm still living with my parents and being spoiled despite of already working myself. Totally going to miss its soothing life in the rural area in Avonlea. |
