Why wasn't there a standard blu-ray release?

As a huge fan of the first season I would love to own the first season on blu-ray but sadly they decided that they would only do a limited edition release that is now sold out. Why would they do this? Is there a chance they'll ever re-release it?

Apparently there was going to be a sub only blu-ray release. That release was cancelled because Sentai decided to make a dub but only release a collector's boxset with it. Now all they have available is the DVD without a dub. Who would want that? To me it makes no sense that two years after the boxset was released, and of course it's sold out, they still haven't made a standard edition. Basically the only option fans have of getting the dub is either pirating it or paying around $400 for a set. Even if one doesn't care about the dub it's not possible to get an HD copy. It's absurd.
