----------------------------------------
That was a freaking awesome battle in the first half, really impressed with Azazel's performance as well as Nina's

It was nice to get some background info on Nina and where she comes from and after seeing her backstory, I'm left wondering exactly how her dad (A full blown dragon) managed to mate with a human female lol, and speaking of mating, Azazel didn't waste any time offering sex to Nina xDDDD

It was a really good episode overall with the king continuing to be a douche and Kaisar making me mad with his god damn loyalty to this cunt.....I was scared shitless for Azazel and this man still took the Kings' side

Also, I dunno if my knowledge of S1 is just rusty but I don't remember Jeanne being pregnant and also, who the hell is the father lol? Michael? and I'm guessing that the kid is the boy that's always with Azazel?

And dat post credit scene means that shit is about to get real pretty soon....Plus I wanna know more about Nina's race because I didn't stop to think that maybe they're directly connected to Bahamut which was something that Azazel hinted at (Or maybe it's just Nina because that would explain why her transformation was the same as a kid like it is now - Maybe Bahamut is her dad?)

The power of hug. Even when it seems awkward, at least Nina know exactly how to "awaken" her power. >_<
And talk about "awaken" her power, she revealed about it with that flashback. Which somehow I think that's pretty normal. After all, she gets that excited feeling from looking a young man but instead got lectured from her mom. Poor little Nina.
And..

The battle at the start was so satisfying to watch, all that build up wasn't for nothing. Why is Kaisar still siding with the king though, did he not understand anything from Favaro in s1..Also when did Jeanne even get imprisoned, or more importantly pregnant?! Wonder if Michael is the father. Kaisar wouldn't have had the guts.

Super excited for the next episode, the wait is almost painful lol

#the father has to be Micheal...why do you think heaven is so intent on finding him? also jeanne is human and the kid has angelic powers so it has to be him.

LOL i laughed at azazel make love part..that is just so funny.

Plus i think nina is somehow connected to bahamut in some way, we just have to wait and see how.

That battle in the beginning was awesome. I'm very impressed with Azazel's and Nina's performance. Got to know more about Nina. Azazel straight up said to have sex with her lmao. Kaiser continues to serve the king, but Charioce knows he's lying. I was wondering what happened to Jeanne. It seems Mugaro is her child. I wonder who's the father. The post-credit scene was interesting. Azazel is gathering his people to help him.

It's quite common in fantasy that dragons can take on human forms, like in The Witcher for example, so that might be how it happened ;)

Why is this show so good? It has yet to disappoint me in anything.

And yeah, Mugaro is obviously Jeanne and Michael's son. The question is, where's Michael, does he not care about his kid, or is simply locked down in some angelic prison for fornicating with a human woman who was supposed to be a saint and remain a virgin, at that?

I'm also interested in what happened to the strongest demons, like Lucifer, for one, who was so high and mighty at the end of season 1.

Nina continues to be a riot, I loled at how one of her reaction to Azazel's indecent offer was to tell him that he's not the only guy who makes her heart race. The girl loves her freedom of choice, eh. Also, she seems to have at least some awareness when in the dragon mode because she didn't attack Kaisar.

Speaking of Kaisar, I like it how he's not above lying even if he's terrible at it. Shows that he's become flexible enough and is not just a mindless puppet bound by honor and unable to see the truth and decide for himself. It gives him a little of the unpredictability factor, and also probably the reason why Charioce hasn't killed him yet - Kaisar inadvertently keeps him intrigued enough.

Aaaand, I miss Favaro. Well, the hero is supposed to be appear fashionably late, and judging by the opening where he's thoroughly lacking we'll only see him in the second cour of this.

Ok, I didn't expected Jeanne d'Arc reapearing that way (well, it has sense she's imprisoned considering she turned into a demon and tried to help Bahamut to destroy the world) and also being Mugaro's mother (I guess Charioce refered to him, considering he is mentioned as "Holy Child" and the likes). I think Michael is probably the father.

The battle at the beginning was awesome. I still love how Azazel was portrayed at the beginning of the previous series as that badass and dangerous demon lord, and he always ends nearly dead in his battles xD Let's see if he would end better now that he is recruiting those rogue demons.
Nina's "secret" scene was hilarious. I wonder if she's an special kind of dragon though, since her dragon form is different from the one of the other villagers.

Btw, I noticed that, in the ending, Azazel is flying along with Cerberus's hand-dogs. Hopefully, that means she will eventually appear later.

She is the holy virgin,.. so no, Michael can't be the father, because it is unthinkable that Muguro was conceived when Jeanne was still a pure saint and Michael was alive. Muguro has to have been conceived after Michael's death.

This is no laughing matter really: I'm at least 80% sure this is exactly how it will play out. Muguro was conceived without a father, and rather than just being Michael's child, he IS Michael.

To me the real question is: why has Kaisar allready put up with this for such a long time? In season one he had allready developped well beyond his initial simplistic world view, and I can't imagine him standing for Jeanne being imprisoned.

Jesus Christ why is this show so good. Why wasn't season 1 this good?!?!??

Absolutely loved the battle in the first half, and can I just say that I ADORE Mappa for shelling out the animation budget? Because it's simply incredible and honestly rare to see these days; you get desensitized to bad animation and learn to simply ignore it, so when Mappa comes along and blows you away with Virgin Soul's animation... you just can't help but notice that it STANDS OUT. And appreciate it all the more.

Awesome fight at the beginning, and we got confirmation about how Nina transforms, although that was pretty obvious early on. Jeanne D'Arc showed up again, I hope they show us what got her imprisoned. That post-credit scene has me hyped.

This episode was fantastic all around. The battle in the beginning was soo good and I mean REALLY GOOD. Shit was so tight seeing Azazel dodge all them arrows and shit.

I lol'd so hard when Nina was blushing, asking for a hug to go dragon mode. And it killed me when they woke up and Nina gave a bit of backstory about herself which was really nice but afterwards, Azazel asked Nina that he can control her by making love to her which was equally a great moment along with her dashing out of the place.

Also I feel really bad for Jeanne, she doesn't deserve to be treated like that imo.

I really wonder how old Nina is ought. Remember Bachus saying she was a decade too young to worry about boys? You'd say she can't be any older than say 13, yet she certainly looks older.

I was a little confused when Azazel told Nina ''Let me make love to you and turn you into a dragon''. What does that even mean? Then I heard him saying in japanese ''Omae wa ore ni dakarete......'' I googled it and I found out that the word 抱かれて(dakarete) have many different meanings. It can mean ''having sexual intercourse with'' but it can also mean '' to embrace''. Maybe Azazel meant to say that he is willing to hug her and turn her into a dragon or sth? And Nina takes it the wrong way and runs off with a red face. Rita then comes in and calls Azazel ''hentai akuma'' and that's why he makes a puzzled face. Then again I don't know japanese, so someone who does, could explain this better.

Nina just keeps being hilarious and cute at the same time, I'm glad that I'm not annoyed by her personality.

Oho Mugaro is Jean's kid, I wonder who's the father.

This show has been absolutely fantastic, each episode has been better than the last. The pacing has been pretty decent with new information, revelations and a good amount of action. Constantly blown away by just how...good this looks visually, MAPPA is doing amazing things with this series.

I'm loving Nina's and Azazel's dynamic more and more each episode. Oh Mugaro, I adore this little boy and I'm so glad he has such a big role in the grand scheme of everything.

I'm still in this weird place with Charioce...like he's such a badass I can tell but damn do I hate him.

Anime was the catalyst of my life's downward spiral.

So Jeanne is the new Mary and Mugaro is the new Jesus who will make people return worshiping the gods (I'm an atheist btw) .We still don't know where is azazel's brother now and why aren't gods enslaved too xd (would be funny to see Gabriel as slave) .... Nina is awesome as the new bahamut and Kaisar is still lying to Charioce and still ALIVE!! Overall the episode was awesome 5/5

For what's worth, I find Nina and Azazel's character chemistry to be pretty amusing to watch. I also like Kaiser's development in this show so far.

It could be several things. Mugaro could be Michael reincarnated. He could also be Michael's son. However in both cases considering the divine nature of Michael, he could have also been conceived after Michael's death nor does to conception have to be physical in nature. Mugaro is most likely the result of immaculate conception.

You probably forgot, Michael died near the end in the first season while Jeanne was in her demon mode. Mugaro could be the result of his power entering her via the kiss he used to release her from her demon form. Or it could have been some form of immaculate conception that happened after his death.

Not sure if I fully understood what you wrote to me but yes, it could be the case that Azazel indeed was talking about sex and his weak reaction to Rita's ''what did you do to Nina?'' was because he's a shameless demon who is not thinking that this subject could make a young girl embarrassed. He casually talks about sex as if it's nothing and ironically at the same time he is being innocent and don't understand why would Nina ''just run out in the middle of their conversation'' or why Rita keeps calling him a pervert. Yeah..it could be that too I guess.

Azazel going all out was awesome.

LOL Azazel hugging Nina. Well who wouldn't. The Red Dragon destroying everything.

The Dragon Village is absolutely spectacular. What the hell Azazel offering to make love to Nina to help control her dragon form.

Nice to see Jeanne d'Arc again, although not in the best place. Woah so she is the mother of Mugaro.

Azazel gathering demons.

Kaiser wants to save Azazel. Kaiser wants to save the king. Azazel and the king want to kill each other. Sometimes life can be complicated.

A little criticism. I do feel that they cut a lot of scenes in order to fit everything in one episode or for convenience. The flow is not there sometimes, at one point Azazel is paralyzed and about to be crushed on the ground, next scene he is flying away knocked out in the air and falls right on the feet of Nina and Mugaro who happened to be conveniently at the same place in a random street.

Still, I do think this season is better than the first one, actually I gave it a try for the art and animation but expecting in the same time to be bothered by all the rest (like with the first season). However I ended up liking the characters and the story and I'm looking forward the next episode every week. Good surprise so far!

Like everyone I find it funny that Jeanne The Maid has a kid, a bit like Virgin Mary indeed, and the disastrous revelation in Nina's village was also hilarious. It would be interesting to know if the other dragons in her village (like her father for instance) are all that strong or if she is an exception (it seemed so to me).

Without any knowledge of the game, I'm going to assume Mugaro is the closest thing we have to Jesus. I'm also going to guess that he was created to be the angels' trump card which is we they're currently looking for them. Did not expect Jeanne to make her return with this.
This does throw out the half angel-demon theory, but luckly enough we have the Crossbreed Nina.
I was expecting to see bomber head during the cell scene, but Jeanne is still nice to see. Favaro is probably in jail due to a dumb reason.
What I am sad to see is that Azazel is probably the only S1 demon we'll see.

I'm calling it now. Jeanne's not the birth mother of Mugaro, but only a 'motherly figure' or simply someone who raised him. It has only been 10 years since the ending of Genesis, but Mugaro looks a bit older than 10 years of age. However, I could be wrong and it is the same case as Amira where he also has rapid growth rate.

A girl with a dragon father and a human mother just happens to be able to turn into a mini Bahamut because she gets excited by pretty boys.
Rita is cute and Kaiser's old hand is a great little cosplaying helper.
Our favorite Bomberhead Afroman is still alive and kicking.
And Kaiser is still a dumbass lapdog for no explicit reason.... and he's still bad at lying...

Demons in hiding are about to start a revolt to overthrow the current regime. But in the end we still have more questions about what the fook happened between now and the last Bahamut disaster to have things as they currently are..

Hrm... think I've covered everything so far. Looking forward to some more reveals and some more world building.
